I have always hated the notion that rogues can double dash. They're already incredibly mobile and I would prefer them to use their bonus action imaginatively. The cinematic tradition is pulling over a stall of melons to create difficult terrain, not sprint like Usain Bolt. There are other ways to get greater movement if you want to be super speedy. And I am unanimous in that.

No. Being hidden is a game state that gives you the Invisible condition. If a creature finds you, you’re no longer hidden and lose that condition, as explained in the Hide action (see appendix C of the Player’s Handbook).

Yet more circumstantial evidence that it is entirely RAI for you to remain invisible after taking the Hide action and leaving cover or obscuration. Otherwise this question would be irrelevant, since a creature wouldn’t need one of these features to see you if you weren’t functionally transparent.

Sigh. This is probably the part of the 2024 revision that I dislike the most. When I get around to running it, I think I will ignore the 2024 hiding rules and just stick with the 2014 ones.

In Draconic Sorcery, Elemental Affinity improves one damage roll of a spell, not multiple rolls. So with Scorching Ray, I don’t add my Charisma modifier to each ray that hits?
That’s correct. Elemental Affinity benefits one damage roll per casting of a spell, even if the spell allows more than one roll. So, for example, a Sorcerer with Elemental Affinity adds their Charisma modifier to only one of the rays of a Scorching Ray.

Given their efforts to simplify and streamline the rules, I'm a little surprised they kept these "only add the modifier to one instance" mechanics in the game. It would be so much simpler and easier if these sorts of bonuses applied to all rolls rather than just one.

I always run unless the DM (me) thinks it's game breaking you can use an action to do a bonus action. Just ask first and tell me what you are trying to do.

Some of what here is clarifying a corner case or confirming that the RAW is RAI. That doesn't need to be in the errata.
However, some of this is stuff that should have been clearer in the rules and has fairly broad application, or what is stated here is contradictory to a reasonable reading of the rules. That stuff needs to be in the errata, not in an advice column.
It's basically says Invisibility the spell and Hide the action are essentially giving you the same Invisible condition with different triggers to remove it.
Hiding doesn't make you transparent. Enemies just can't see you until they find you, they see you in some other way, or you reveal yourself.

We used to try and defeat wraiths, and vampires, and ghosts with antimagic because they're undead, which is obviously magical. That was until someone pointed out that life is a miracle so also obviously magical.
"Invisible" is the worst thing to ever happen to stealth.
