overgeeked

Open-World Sandbox
A live-action series starring Nick Cage as Spider-Man Noir.

As someone who loves superheroes, Spider-Man, pulp adventures, and noir...this is all the things. Really looking forward to this.

Nic Cage is perfect for Noir. My favorite quote on Cage comes from Ethan Hawke:

"I’m kind of obsessed with Nic Cage... He’s the only actor since Marlon Brando that’s actually done anything new with the art of acting; he’s successfully taken us away from an obsession with naturalism into a kind of presentation style of acting that I imagine was popular with the old troubadours. If I could erase his bottom half bad movies, and only keep his top half movies, he would blow everyone else out of the water. He’s put a little too much water in his beer, but he is still one of the great actors of our time.”

And I mean, where's the lie?

Interesting. I've never heard of this before. Is it based on a comics series?

I like how the multiverse allows for big name characters to appear in different time periods, not just with different identities, ethnicities, genders, etc.

Like that What If episode where time had been compressed, so Thor, Stark, Hulk, etc were living in 1600s London or thereabouts.

He originally appeared in the Spider-Verse comics by Dan Slott and then later showed up in the Spider-Verse movies, where he was voiced by Nic Cage.
I hate when nerds "well actually" .... but he first appeared in a comicbook minisereies in 2009, and then was in the 2010 video game Shattered Dimensions before Spider-Verse was a thing.

Ok i'll go crawl in a box now
