Video Games You Wish Existed

Easy answer is Bloodborne 2.

Going more in-depth:
  • I'd love to see Insomniac do a game about Morbius.
  • A cyberpunk dating sim kinda like Boyfriend Dungeon would be cool.
  • A remaster of Drakan: The Ancient Gates.

I want a VTT made for miniatures games instead of RPGs. I want to be able to buy Fallout Factions or Battletech for it, the same way I buy Shadowdark or D&D for Fantasy grounds.
Oh, thats a good one. They got this program called Megamek that uses...wait for it....java still. It has all the table top wargame rules of Battletech and you can run online games (with no sound). Why for the love of all thats holy is there not a modern version of it is beyond me. I get the franchise was on life support for a long time, but its now the number 2 selling wargame behind warhammer. It's like the Pathfinder of wargaming!

Though some folks are doing cool things with Tabletop simulator even if its all DIY.

I don't care for the "virtual reality" aspect of TTS. I want FG for wargames.
Id take Foundry, but I get what you are saying. If I didnt have a solid local group playing on actual wargame tables with 3D terrain weekly, id be working on a solution.

I almost picked up Valheim recently, but the visual style put me off.

Games I'd like to see...

An rpg based on either The Black Company or The Malazan Book of the Fallen, especially if they could do something that would let you run solo or small-party missions and then switch to real-time-strategy large battles similar to the writing styles of the books. Either one of those properties has enough wiggle room in them to set a game in a time and place where the interactions with the canon storylines could be tweaked to as much or little as wanted.

I'd absolutely love a CRPG (in the Baldurs Gate vein) set in Eberron. Would need to have turn-based combat though.

That we never got a strategy RPG based on D&D 4e's mechanics is actually criminal.

An honest-to-god remaster of Lufia 2 (or a good remake because it certainly was never remade into a terrible DS game)

This is going to be highly specific, but for many years I have yearned for a remake of the "Stunt Mode" from San Francisco Rush 2049 on Dreamcast. I've played knockoff stunt driving games, but nothing is as good. I've played it emulated, but my experience with Dreamcast emulators so far has been fairly rough. Emulating the N64 version works better, but that version is a step down from the Dreamcast. So, I wait.

A sequel or remake of Battle Engine Aquila would be awesome.

I'd love a good version of Monopoly. The last big computer/console release was crap. Lots of room for improvement in speed, options, and AI.

And a true hardware replacement for the Atari 2600 paddles. It's been a couple of years since I looked seriously, but everything I've seen has problems with speed, jitter, homing, or something else. Admittedly, part of the problem is that the original tech had lots of flaws.

MMOs are not in the same play space as CRPGs IMO.

We did have a Warcraft 3 like hero RTS for Eberron way back in the day. Dragonshards maybe?
Yeah I know DDO had real time combat, but man I loved it.

Though, I heard the neverwinter MMO was more turn based and adhered to 4E, I just never played it.
