It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Rob Wieland.
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Rob Wieland. As well as his weekly reviews column here at EN World, Rob's work could be found on Forbes, Geek & Sundry, and other outlets, as well as in tabletop RPG games such as Star Wars Saga Edition, World of Darkness supplements, Shadowrun, and Savage Worlds.

Rob passed away this weekend at the too-young age of 48, leaving behind a wife and a young daughter.

Rob was always a real pleasure to work with--he was professional, funny, and kind. He will be missed, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

As everyone has said, condolences to family and friends. I always respected his articles, even if some reviews I didn't agree with his perspective. He was a talented journalist, and the world's a smaller place without him.

We are saddened to learn that game designer and writer Rob Wieland has passed away. Rob was a passionate and dedicated supporter of the TTRPG hobby, and we loved to see his influential coverage of the industry in the august pages of Forbes, and at EN World. Our team members going to Gamehole Con later this month were looking forward to seeing Rob there. Our condolences to Rob's family and friends. Vale Rob, you rolled high to the end. — Chaosium Inc.
