Ulfgeir I forgot you live in the frozen wastes north of The Wall. A banana is type of fruit. It ripens at an alarmingly fast rate. It's also believed to be designed by God specifically for man by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. 😆

Heh, I live in the South of Sweden (65 km east of Gothenburg), and thus we have civilisation here. Yes it is basically same latitude as Vancouver. But I am well aware of bruised bananas. ;)

Bananas together with currypowder and peanuts also work well on pizza.

Banana, curry powder, and peanuts on a pizza?. Now I know you're an alien. Next you'll say you like hot sauce on chocolate cake. But I'll forgive your alieness if you can introduce me to Katherine Heigl. 😛

Thank you.

I'm more bruised than an over ripe banana 🍌 from the various falls but no serious harm.
“Pride goeth before a fall”- sometimes literally.

My grandmother used a walker for YEARS and then one night decided she didn’t need it for a quick bathroom trip. Took a couple steps and fell and broke her hip. She never left the hospital after a cascade of other health issues related to her fall hit her.

It took years for me to convince my Mom to start using a cane or rollator around the house. She had several falls, but no serious injuries. And after several (overlapping) years of my cajoling, she’s just starting to take a cane with her (in addition to her wheelchair) for use when she’s going to a public restroom.

TL; DR: the temporary embarrassment of needing mechanical mobility assistance is a lot less painful than the aftermath of a fall.

I met with the neurologist. It went as expected. I'll need to lose a lot of weight before they'll even discuss surgery. They want an MRI also. We'll see when gets scheduled. I probably need an open MRI. The local hospital doesn't have one. They're also referring me for PT. Looks like the weakness is here for the long term.
Doctor: Can you lift this leg?

What's wild is, some of the narrowing in my spine is congenital. Injury over the years made it worse. There are bone spurs. Bulging disks. He said several things are putting pressure on my spinal cord.

Looks like this is a step in a long process.
