STOCKHOLM, SE—Today, award-winning creator Tania Herrero (Crown of Salt, Menagerie of Unbearable Things) and Johan Nohr (MÖRK BORG, CY_BORG, ALIEN RPG Evolved Edition) officially announced their partnership with world-renowned Free League Publishing for the upcoming epic folk horror RPG, FOMORIA. The Fomoria Kickstarter campaign is set to go live on April 7, 2026.
A New Vision of Subterranean Horror
Conceived, written, and illustrated by Tania Herrero with graphic design by Johan Nohr, Fomoria is a dark, weird, and inhospitable subterranean world where the Sun is a myth and the "False Stars" of the earth's roof offer the only light. Powered by a modified MÖRK BORG engine, players take on the role of the Folk—children of the lost Surface—navigating a living, breathing labyrinth of shifting tunnels known as the Strata.
Free League Joins the Descent
By joining the Free League Publishing stable (publishers of ALIEN RPG, Blade Runner RPG, and Dragonbane), Fomoria will benefit from the publisher's extensive industry experience and muscle. This partnership ensures the project will have massive global reach, professional fulfillment infrastructure, and wide retail availability in game stores and conventions worldwide.

● A world built of monsters and bones, featuring 8 Folk races, 6 clans, and 6 Traditions (optional classes).

Tania Herrero is the primary creator, writer, and illustrator of Fomoria. She is known for the award-winning Crown of Salt. Johan Nohr is the project’s graphic designer and supplementary artist, and is known for his work on MÖRK BORG, CY_BORG, ALIEN RPG Evolved Edition and Into the Odd Remastered.
