Dawn of the Dead in DnD?

Maybe a Will save to break albums, with good records having high DCs and jaggedlittlepill not even requiring a roll.

    Master of Kung Fu

I posted on this same subject here in a recent similar thread. Spycraft might be cool not just for cinematic martial arts, but simulating the espionage stuff that was that book alot. Not to say Blood & Fists isn't a good choice, of course, just offering more options.

Dawn of the Dead in DnD?

So now my question is, is anyone converting Shaun of the Dead to D&D? Best zombie film since the original Dawn of the Dead. But how much damage does a Sade album do? Oh, Monster Island is awesome. A crazy thing happens in that book. It happens early on, so I guess it isn't a spoiler. A...

Microlite20 : the smallest thing in gaming

This is really neat. It reminds me of a project we had at BFG to create one of those "narrativist" rpgs with the d20 SRD. I think I will dig it up and compare. Ours was based around making everything a saving throw, so it'll be a lot different, but this is way simpler.

Dawn of the Dead in DnD?

Given the options for planar travel and demons/devils in D&D, I think a lot could be made of the "Hell is full, therefore everyone comes back as a zombie" concept. This could justify zombie infection being a curse or magical effect rather than a virus as well. I also think that an interesting...

    Mixing Past with Fantasy

God, that was great. Best TSR product of its time. More recently, there was a d20 version of Masque of the Red Death by Arthaus. This link is to DrivethruRPG (for some reason it doesn't seem to be available at the affiliate store, else I would link there). The original boxed set can be...

    Blood and Vigilance characters.

Actually, I think the Golden Age story where he fought Hitler was the best Captain America story ever. I mean, he punches Hitler in the mouth. Not clone Hitler or FF villain Hitler or brain in a new body Hitler, freakin' der Fuhrer. Comics were mad and wonderful in those days.

    Cthulhu vs. the Tarrasque

No, but my money's on Cthulhu. That shot of Cthulhu destroying the iconic characters, by the way, is my favorite illustration in any WotC product since A Paladin in Hell.

    M&M 2nd Recommendations?

Bumping this back up to ask, did you all see this: Adepts of the Arcane (M&M Superlink) by Big Finger Games http://enworld.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=15200&] We're trying to rewrite the rules for how character books are done, making them more useful than before. Free. pdf demo...

Please help me with some M&M Rules.

Yes, of course, pardon my absolute failure to actually clarify anything. :)

Please help me with some M&M Rules.

Correct. So, just to state the obvious, you need to spend 4pp minimum to have any usable dynamic powers.

    Kitchen Sink Settings

Usually, most people I've gamed with are open to anything that looks like it makes sense and is balanced. I don't run into a lot of Core Rulebook snobs anymore. And yeah, if someone i splaying something odd, it gets worked into the setting. I don't think much of a guy having a fantasy setting...

Switching out Alignment for Alliegance, is it hard?

For help in making this change, and especially in keeping spells working properly, I have to pimp my product: FANTASY FOLIO: Allegiances It also has Allegiance related feats and other rules. For $2.25 I think that's pretty good. But obviously, I wrote the thing, so I'm biased.

Is gaming without map and minis really bad?

3.5 in general seems to want minis a lot more. So I guess maybe my problem is with the current version of the core game. It starts with the changes from 3E to 3.5 in the PHB/DMG/MM, but to my mind everything they publish seems more and more bogged down in tactical minutiae. I buy more Green...

    Best. Quote. Ever.

It seems silly becuase a giant floating eyeball with little glowing eyes on tentacles coming out the top being sneaky and picking locks seems silly. There has to be more to the game than finding ways to increase damage. Of course, as a GM, at epic levels you're acting on every dumb idea you...

d20 Future and Hard SF - some random thoughts

There are a lot of interesting ideas here on how starfighters could actually be reasonable in a hard sf setting. So let me ask another question: is there any reason why any of these starfighters would need pilots? As someone pointe dout, drones can handle more G's. I still maintain that space...

Is gaming without map and minis really bad?

This is a good point. I do not game with a GM I do not trust to make decisions "aribtrarily." I have to trust the GM to make the best decisions to make the game progress. I really don't need miniatures. I don't need Attacks of Opportunity or tactical movement. I understand the attraction of...

Is gaming without map and minis really bad?

I play without maps or minis and I like it fine. Sometimes, if we can't figure something out, the GM scribbles a little picture.

    D&D 4th Edition

I would be surprised too. But by working on I meant the actual writing and development. I think somebody would've squealed if there were an actual group of authors engaged in the project.
