D&D 4E If 4e went in this direction...

Thanks! Because professions that produce goods are very similar to rituals, I wanted to keep the format similar to make it as easy to understand as possible.

D&D 4E If 4e went in this direction...

Here is a quick little example of a profession that might be applied to a base character. As my article explains, I want to flesh this out more, but I need to get some sleep ;) Loremaster - Profession for 4e D&D - The Cobbler

The Ten Commandments of Epic Gaming

Mike Shea wrote a pretty awesome novelette on running Epic Tier games. I highly suggest it for anyone looking to do such.

Would It Break The Game If...: All Daily Attack Powers Were Reliable?

You always get something for expending a daily power. If you don't in the effect line, then it is a reliable power :p I would not want to see daily powers come to define the class. They should be rare remarkable bouts of power that do really neat things.

Would It Break The Game If...: All Daily Attack Powers Were Reliable?

Daily powers already have miss effects. Making all daily powers reliable would be very unbalancing. The game already favors the players.

When did WotC D&D "Jump the Shark"?

Was your last sentence to in response to that poster, or to WotC?

When did WotC D&D "Jump the Shark"?

The entire argument was set up with a statement that WotC is in shambles. It sets the tone before the premise of the argument is made. ugh...

Designers looking for mechanics feedback on Optimization Board

The CharOp boards are a gold-mine for designers. It provides a free source of intelligence on the inner workings of the game. If you look at it in these terms, the value can really be seen.

    D&D 4E Class-less 4E?

I wrote an article about this for Critical Hits a year ago. If would take some modification, but it can be done. Not sure how well it would work on a larger scale. Classless 4e : Critical Hits

This is akin to starting a thread entitled "The Ultimate Song". Your asking a matter of opinion that is based on preference.

All Together Now - Call for Submissions?

How would this help their situation at all? I'm willing to bet $20 that someone would start to complain that they spend too much time responding to every query, instead of working on D&D products. :p I can't, off the top of my head, think of any major publishers that provide the type of...

All Together Now - Call for Submissions?

When the magazines were in print, there was an entire staff at Paizo running it. Apples and oranges. It's the the way that it was in the past.

All Together Now - Call for Submissions?

In 2008, I decided to just keep my ideas flowing. At worse, my ideas were ignore. At best, they would let me write. If my ideas were ignore, who cares? I didn't need a response and I never thought of WotC as a writer's service--burdened to tell me why my pitch wasn't up to snuff. After over 50...

All Together Now - Call for Submissions?

There is no way WotC is going to be able to reply to each and every submission. That is just not realistic. As for what to submit? Pitch ideas you think are cool and don't worry about what you think will get published. If you keep worrying about what you think will get accepted, you might never...
