Oh no! The DM has [BLANK]! Or: What strikes fear into the hearts of players?

I don't have to bring anything to the table. The players always look rather uncomfortable. They obviously fear my DMing genius. Honestly, I don't see what they're so nervous about; I'm the one who's DMing in the nude.

What's the best D&D product EVAR?

Planescape Boxed Set; because it helped teach me how to make a campaign setting as great as it could be. 3.0 PHB is a very close second; because it allowed me to play the game the way I wanted to play it.

    Haunted

After you're finished editing a document in word, just paste it into then copy back out of a plain text app like notepad or, a personal favorite of mine, UltraEdit32. :) Gets rid of most of the formatting. By the way, congrats!

    Your favorite race?

Ummmm... Word. The race I've played the most is Human. The races that I'd like to play/spark my imagination the most are (oldschool) Aasimar and Tieflings. Heck, add Genasi and Fey'ri to that list as well. The 3E plane-touched illustrations have been a bit disappointing overall, but there have...

    Wotc Forum vs Enworld Forum

Like I needed three more reasons not to go there. :p Just kidding, just kidding! *dodges flying barstool*

Big Thank You to Quickbeam and Dr. Alex

Classy. Yeah... that pretty much covers it all around.

Does anyone else think D&D 4th edition should be more like 2nd edition

There are only two things that were better about 2E; Planescape and my age. I wish someone had handed me a stack of 3.x books back when I started playing. You troll.

    How tokien ruined modern fantasy

I think they probably would have made it in anyway, though perhaps not quite in the same form. If you think about it though, if you're going to include different classes (which is what the demi-humans originally were in D&D) giving them names everyone is familiar with is a natural. Everyone...

    Neglected Monsters

Destrachan, Stirges, Grey Renders, chuul and ghouls have all appeared in the last two campaigns I was in. Not to mention a Mohrg. Actually, my PC animated the last grey render we killed and named it Jeeves. In my campaign I'm using a mix of monsters that don't get used much like say, the...

How do you feel about 3e's art style?

I have news for you; there has been far too much twisting of other people's words and misrepresentation of other people's views in this thread. Done once in a great great while it can be clever, but generally speaking it only confuses the issue and frustrates people that are actually trying to...

    Chaotic. Not Silly.

I'm seeing a Xaositect flash mob. :D They do some things in an orderly fashion because being chaotic all the time is just another way of being predictable. It's easy to imagine the Harmonium making an effort to prevent Xoasitects from gathering in public in large numbers precisely because they...

How do you feel about 3e's art style?

Congrats, you've just proven that different people will see things differently. But that's all. The whole tattoos and spikes furor has blossomed from the complaints of some naysayers back when the Countdown to Third Edition site first appeared, into a delusion that, as we can all see, continues...

Being set on fire aint what it used to be.

How about a Will save or become shaken? This way a character with a strong will might have the presence of mind to put himself out without freaking out (would have said “without panicking”, but that's a game term as well ;)). If anyone in the group complains just let them know that as the DM...

I'm moving to Salt Lake City -- any suggestions?

Be careful around that lake. Everyone that mentions it says the area is crawling with mermen or 'mermens', or something like that.

When in Heckfire is d20 Future Going to be Released on Amazon?

Man... Who is responsible and what were they thinking? Is the first page bound funny too? Edit: Well, it has perforations, but that leaves the stump. Perhaps with an extremely steady hand and lots of patience you could cut out the rest with a hobby knife. I think I'll be sending the survey...

When in Heckfire is d20 Future Going to be Released on Amazon?

I received my copy of D20 Future today. What the hell is up with this garbage? I didn't like it when they put these survey cards all the way in the back of the book, but now they've got this one stuck in the middle of the &#@% Mutations chapter! Thanks WoTC. Does anyone else's book have...

The "iconic" characters -- time to for them to die?

I can't say the same about your try at an insult. I know throwing verbal jabs is easier than addressing a person's points, but it doesn't gain you nearly as much street cred unless you've done it sublimely. Wheel of Time novel covers. Anyone who knows where I'm going with this, raise your...

Is Sigil on the inside of a ring or a donut?

It's a torus. Like a city built on the inside of a car tire. The real question is, how thick are the walls of the tire? How far can you dig down before you poke through to nothingness, or is that even possible?

The "iconic" characters -- time to for them to die?

I'm pretty sure that people who worry too much about the iconics fall into that category. Seriously, why are some people so hung up on the iconics? Don't they have their own characters to play? The iconic characters don't even appear in the majority of the 3E artwork... I didn't realize so...

How do you feel about 3e's art style?

Do you like the "3E style" of art? Do you like the drawing that "Artist X" did? Overall, I like the 3E style better than other editions. Nostalgia is nostalgia. I will always look back on the previous editions fondly, but a lot of the art was bad, and the art that wasn't bad was often silly...
