Chiming in to recommend Savage Worlds as flexible and easy to learn. And there are several fantasy settings built with it so you can get an idea how they used the building blocks to make races, magic, etc.

I'd like to see the warlord as a fighter subclass with maneuvers and, for example, the repositioning ability of the glamour bard, and the minor action 30ft ranged "aid another" abiility of the mastermind rogue.

The warpriest is odd since it is, I think, supposed to be a paladin for people who don't want the LG paladin code. Both d&d 5e and pathfinder 2e went the alternate route of making a "paladin" class that wasn't restricted to a single code and alignment.

The investigator with the empiricist archetype, the skald, and the warpriest. Also thinking that if the witch is in then the hexcrafter magus becomes an option.

The battlesmith is great....except for its subclass spells, which are pretty poor. I was hoping for stuff like misty step and dimension door and other mobility enhancers/escape mechanisms. I think the Mark of Passage human is quite powerful for what it adds and I'd likely favor it over the Mark...

Order cleric lets your allies perform attacks as a reaction when you target them with any spell. Glamour bard has the ability to totally reposition its allies. I'd probably go order cleric 1/mastermind rogue 3/glamour bard 16. EDITED to remove mistake.

Nothing amazing but it is great that the Mark of Warding dwarf makes dwarven wizards and rogues a good choice.

Really wish the Tabaxi claws counted as a finesse weapon for rogue sneak attack.

You'll eventually want resilient(con) to make sure you don't lose concentration on haste but that can be put off for a bit. Heavy armor master doesn't scale very well so I wouldn't recommend it give you are moving out of the level range where it is really effective. Shieldmaster and sentinel...

Actually I will say that goblin is a very nice monk, what with the bonus action disengage with spending ki or multiclassing to rogue.

outlander/nature theme= rogue(scout), ranger, druid, fighter(any), barbarian(any), paladin(oath of ancients), warlock(fey), cleric(nature). Some of those multiclass relatively well with each other.

But you'd remember having found the ditch with all the pictures of your daughter and having throw it away. So how would you process that when your wife gave you the locket befotre fighting the BBEG?

You might also lok at the Triton race in Volo's guide to monsters....stats are decent for a sorcerer, they get cold resistant always on and some water spells (cha-based) that are thematic/help a bit with spell variety.

That's not correct..you need to meet the requirements for both classes when you multi-class...including your first/parent class. Also this thread is 2 years old.
