Freedom of Movement and Roper strand

The spirit of FoM would imply that any attempt to entangle, grapple, hold or impede the movement of an affected character would fail...including the ropers attack. If Web is ineffective (a sticky substance), then the ropers tentacles surely wouild fail as well.

    Fox stats

You might want to consider looking at the kitsune race available in Dog Soul's KITSUNEMORI. This might be a great fit for what you are looking for, and some great flavor as well.

    Need help selecting one spell.

I would definitely take either Summon Monster V or Telekinesis. Summon V will let you send any number of beasties to attack your dwarven opponents...aid in flanking...etc. Telekinesis will allow you to disarm, bullrush, grapple or trip your opponent from a distance...or even use the violent...

Kitsunemori - A New Campaign Setting

Glad to hear it! Let us know how it works out practically in combat.

Kitsunemori - A New Campaign Setting

The weapon technique allows you to use the naginata as a reach weapon, and the TWF Feat allows you to make an extra off-hand attack each round. The two are mutually compatible, however, as far as being a double weapon, only one end of the naginata is bladed. Therefore, the primary attack would...

    Natural Bond - Overpowered?

Seems to me that as a Feat, it is far less powerful or unbalancing as Leadership. ;)

    Paladin Variants

Is anyone aware of Paladin class variants (any WoTc 3.5 rulebooks allowed), and variant options for the Paladin's warhorse? I am considering playing a paladin in an urban environment where a warhorse would be unwieldy, and I am interested in alternate class features that might be available. Let...

Banning Fly, Improved Invisibility, Dimension Door, and Teleport

The DM in my campaign has banned the teleport spell, made fly manueverability average and eliminated negative levels and spells/effects that cause level drain. This has not severely affected the game, asn has in fact made the challenges more interesting. I am in full support of tweaking rules...

    Feats for Monks

I am looking to build a 7th level Monk, probably human, and I have never played this particular class before...so I am soliciting suggestions on feat chains. It is important to note that this Monk will only deal sub-dual damage to living opponents, as his religions prohibits killing. However...

Isn't there a chart for Knowledge Checks?

Presumably, a dead doppleganger's corpse would have little in the way of anatomical features to indicate that it was a shapeshifter or able to detect thoughts. That is information appropriate to a Knowledge check. If we are talking about what an autopsy would be able to reveal; then it would...

Isn't there a chart for Knowledge Checks?

I would think that some of the information you offer as possibly discovered during an autopsy is unlikely. Character traits like "cowardly" would not be detectable in an autopsy, yet other aspects such as being forest dwellers, or physically weak makes sense. I also don't know how one would be...

Casting Orb Spells into Anti-Magic Fields

It seems to me that even though the orb of fire or acid may be non-magical because of the creation descriptor, some magical force is needed to hurl and guide the orb towards its target, otherwise gravity would make it fall the moment it appears...or an orb of fire would burn thew oxygen in the...

I hate Tolkien: suggest a fantasy setting.

Try a setting that is not from the occidental tradition; such as a Japanese folklore inspired setting like that in KITSUNEMORI from Dog Soul. You could also try other non-western inspired games that offer an alternative to the heavily Norse inspired Tolkein vein of fantasy RPG's.

Building a good(flavorful) Samurai with other classes

Look at Dog Soul Publishing's KITSUNEMORI for good suggestions on how to craft a samurai from the existing d20 fighter class. It also has cool new feats exclusively available to samurai as well.

    Anime culture and D&D

Anime and D&D combined! If you are a fan of anime, and love to play D&D, then you should definitely check out Dog Soul Publishing's KITSUNEMORI by Matthew A.J. Gregory and Alejandro Melchor. It combines alot of anime mythos with real-world Japanese mythology, and works really well with the d20...

Kitsunemori - A New Campaign Setting

Kappa I was referring to the Kappa's 'touch of letharhy' ability, which slows opponents, but doesn't stun them.

Kitsunemori - A New Campaign Setting

Nice work! Kensanata, Nice work with your short adventure. Some of the changes from d20 to M20 do alter the flavor of creatures (i.e. the kappa), but all in all, it's an interesting adventure for low-level characters. Keep the Kitsunemori adventures coming! Also, don't forget that one of...

    Build Me a Minotaur

You want a minotaur? You got it! If you want a really bad ass minotaur with some great "flavor", look nowhere else but at the MASTERS & MINIONS book at Behemoth3: http://www.behemoth3.com/ They have presented a number of minotaur options, and the fluff is as good as the crunch! :D

Kitsunemori - A New Campaign Setting

Answer to your question It is hard to say if the Fox Magic powers you have chosen as feats are applicable, as the number of tails in the pre-reqs can be prohibitive. The trick in NPC and character designs for kitsune at higher levels is that it may appear as though a kitsune could have chosen...
