The waking. You will never sleep again.

    The Waking's average hit points should be 58. WotC uses the mean average rather when calculating hp. d4 = x2.5 d6 = x 3.5 d8 = x 4.5 d10 = x 5.5 d12 = x 6.5 So, 9 x 6.5 = 58. The Dodge bonus applies to only one chosen opponent, so it shouldn't be included in the AC line. Its base attack...

    New Thread Categories

I shortened the category titles. That was a good idea. I'm not sure about the need for a category for each monster type, though. That might make the category names too long again. A Contest category might be in order, but we don't do enough contests really, and new members coming here might...

    New Thread Categories

I've added a few more thread categories to choose from in the General Monster Talk and Homebrews Monster forums. Now instead of just General we have: Conversion - Converted something from 1e, 2e, 3e, or even another game system? Use this category. General - For just about anything. Homebrew -...

Posting a Homebrew Monster Here? Read This! :)

If you're willing to share a homebrewed monster here on our boards, post a link to that thread in the Ultimate Homebrew Index below! Let's see what kind of "Monster Manual" we can make here at the EnWorld Creature Catalog Forums. Thanks!

    Ultimate Homebrew Index

I think we should make another sticky here saying that if you post a homebrew monster, come to this thread and post a link to it so we can keep the "Ultimate List" continually updated!

As far back as I am able to find, yes.

    Request - Moogles?

That's because you've posted a GIF and the website is interpreting "white" as "clear." If you could find a JPG image and post that it wouldn't do that. Hmm ... lemme look at this thing ... round head, pudgy body, squinty eyes, big red nose ... OMG it's a tiny little W. C. Fields with bat wings...

    Ultimate Homebrew Index

Here are all the homebrews that I made that aren't already on the main list, as far as I can tell. I have a penchant for making monsters that are playable and follow the rules of the game but which are odd or otherwise comical. In the tradition of the Monty Python election sketch, I have dubbed...

Glad ya like it! :) I realized this morning that I had posted an older version of mine in which I hadn't yet completed its skills. D'OH! So, I re-tinkered to give it its skills back. lol

PS. I tinkered with my version a little to incorporate some of your ideas. :) Esuvee Large Magical Beast Hit Dice: 8d10+40 (84 hp) Initiative: +0 Speed: 30 ft. (6 squares) Armor Class: 16 (-1 size, +7 natural), touch 9, flat-footed 16 Base Attack/Grapple: +8/+20 Attack: Slam +15 melee (1d8+8)...

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm just a D20 fan who had the luck of getting to know someone (Scott Greene) who got picked up by an up-and-coming 3rd party publishser (Necromancer Games). He gave them my name during a backlog and the rest is history. I don't think I'm really that much better...

'Preciated! But I think each version is good, and each serves a different purpose. His is sci-fi and makes a point that it is a fusion of machine and animal. Mine is for D&D and is more fantasy-oriented. I must say, though ,that giving the esuvee herd the stampede SA is a good idea. I might...

LOL Excellent! It's good to know that I'm not the only lunatic out there that thought the esuvee would make a good D20 critter! Bravo! :)

Excellent! Post back here when you use it and tell us how it went! I wish I could see the look on your players' faces when they finally get it! :)
