Wasn't arcane bolt the spell Wizards used in 3e playtests as a magic missile replacement, being as magic missile was too powerful? If this is so, this is a hint as to which spell is better.

I don't remember any of the +2/+2 feats having any prereqs, other than one of the I Am Charming! feats from S&S, which had another I Am Charming! +2/+2 feat as a prereq. ("I Am Charming!" -- see Munchkin d20.)

A few of these 2+2 feats are in D20 Modern, FYI. I don't have a list handy, check the SRD. A few look to be renamed.

I never see any of these spellcasters. I see monsters, monsters, and monsters, all of which have good Fort saves.
