The content, especially in the current issue, has vastly improved. The module i remember most was Castle Amber - the module had everything from a castle crawl to ending up in a whole new campaign setting (still remember the dwarven fighter saying "its only chickens" and getting turned into stone by the "chickens" or the boxing match with the homoculus)

Forget all these settings and start with a small village or town and slowly you can build up from there as based on player actions. KISS is invaluable for being a good GM.

Use tact-tiles - so much better than battle mats :lol: Battle mats slow things down but has the advantage of eliminating ambiguous situations and measuring range etc. It just comes down to preference.
