Available Now: Points of Conflict -- a 4E Licensed Product

I've kept the clicky-links to me on the Ivory Goat Press logo. CC-By, in itself, doesn't require much more than my name. If you're keen on using maptool, I can make the map images available as separate files, so you don't need to do a little screen-capture dance or whatever. Cheers, Roger

Available Now: Points of Conflict -- a 4E Licensed Product

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I'll try to answer some of the questions that have arisen. With respect to the CC license, I'm not a lawyer, nor have I consulted with a lawyer or WotC about this. As far as I can tell, it's a pretty straightforward interpretation and response to section...

How to Play the Sarcastic Hero

It seems clear you and I have different opinions about what sarcasm is, which is fine. Prefacing your article with something like the above would help readers understand your position better, in my opinion. Cheers, Roger

How to Play the Sarcastic Hero

I disagree. I don't think Han says sarcastic things, and I don't think he says things in a sarcastic way. A lot of his best-known lines -- "Sorry about the mess" in the cantina, "I love you!" "I know." before getting frozen, etc -- could have been delivered with sarcasm, but were not, in my...

    Retainers, henchmen, hirelings and redshirts?

Since this is the rules forum, I'll try to stick to what the rules have to say: The sidebar on page 116 of the DMG seems to strongly imply that allies, henchmen, hirelings, mercenaries, etc, are run by the DM, as any other NPC would be. Cheers, Roger

    Retainers, henchmen, hirelings and redshirts?

To the extent that it's covered, it's in the DMG on pages 116 and 117. Cheers, Roger

    Magic Proof Undead Gatekeeper?

If the players really want to destroy the only creature that can open the way, I'd just let them. It'll probably reform after some period of time. Cheers, Roger

Fluff me this: female tiefling + fey pact warlock!

"Hello and welcome to the Warlock Pact Fair." She looked around. There were three booths. "Hey, miss? Over here. Hi. Have you ever considered a career in the growing field of sanity-bending? We have many qualified Cosmic Horrors to choose from." "Sorry," she said. "Constitution was my...

As others have already noticed, I have removed this product. But it'll be back up on 7 July 2008, so come on over and get it then! I wanted to thank everyone who provided feedback, both positive and not-entirely-positive, on this. Cheers, Roger

Not Yet Available: Points of Conflict -- a 4E Licensed Product

Excellent point, Joe. Barring some form of postal time travel, it's true that my Statement of Acceptance hasn't been in WotC's hands for 14 days yet. So, yes, this is a 'sooner' product. I'm essentially throwing myself upon the mercy of WotC here. I believe I've complied with every other...

How to make half-giants for 4th ed, as no ECL?

I'd start with the package for either the Bugbear or Minotaur, from the back of the MM. Maybe take the Minotaur and replace his Charge power with something like the Earth Giant's Sweeping Club power. Cheers, Roger
