    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

Nice, so magical thrown weapons automatically return to your hand then. That I can believe =] Saves me from having to multiclass to a swordmage to get that sort of utility out of her thrown weapons too!

    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

I'm not looking at 3.5 rules about the OA's provoked by standing up. I'm talking about the REAVING AXE SLAYER feat that allows you to do so...it's stated verbatim in the feat itself. And I'm sorry if I've offended anyone with my suggestions...I'm not trying to abuse the system Obryn, I'm just...

    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

You're missing that she is going to have the Reaving Axe Slayer feat, which mean that when she crits(melee, or ranged), she knocks them prone and if they try to stand up before her next turn, she can perform an Opportunity Attack on them--if she can do so with a ranged weapon, then she wouldn't...

    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

It may be an effective combat build...eventually...but once again, it doesn't seem like the build would be significantly more effective then any other typical Striker-character, and would probably actually be much weaker than others until until lvl 16ish when she gets her OA gravy. Another...

    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

That's what I thought, the book does state 'melee' attack specifically but a few of our players were arguing that melee and ranged in this case were interchangable... So, the Sharpshooter Ranger PP, as well as a MC/hybrid Seeker could pull this combo off though? So pretty much, she'd be a bit...

    Ranged Opportunity Attacks?

I'm working on a bit of an experimental character for my wife to play...one who focuses on ranged thrown weapons. Most likely going to be a Ranger hybrid class, but we're still debating what to hybridize with...rogue perhaps... So my question is this: can ranged attacks be made AS opportunity...

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

I've thought of using a spiked chain as well...and the related feats are quite nice looking. Another idea for the 'minion-master' build: he could take the feat to gain a familiar as well and would then have 3 'pets' helping him to block/corner foes. Now, if only the Beast Protector worked for...

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

My thoughts exactly... Nimble Strike, Twin Strike, and Circling Strike have feats that increase their movement bonuses considerably. If my gm let's me use a zulaat as a reach weapon, I'll be able to Twin Strike from behind my blockers as well, since it's a double weapon ^^

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

I rather like that MC Shaman suggestion...having two 'pets' to move around as blockers could be quite beneficial. I'm leaning more toward melee atm, but still deciding...haven't found a game yet anyways, so no rush. I may pick a build that has better synergy with the group then what I want to do...

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Ah, I see said the blind man. Thanks for pointing that out ^^

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Ok, so I found the option for a hybrid class, but I apparently can't be a Beastmaster Ranger if I'm a hybrid...? I'm pretty hellbent on taking a pet this time around, so if I go BM is my only multi-classing/hybrid option to take a Multiclass feat/path and that's it?

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Awesome, thanks! I guess I just assumed it was completely feat based, clumped somewhere under the multiclass feats. I'll try again at making my character later today.

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

I was trying to use a friends laptop to build my character last night(his character builder should be current to the April update), but I couldn't figure out where the options for hybrid classing him were at. Is it under the multiclass feats somewhere, or somewhere else?

    Double Sword/Khopesh variant?

I don't have an active subscription to DnD Insider, so my Character Builder is horribly out of date... =/

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Very nice...if I start as a Human, like I was planning to, then I'll have an extra At-Will power that I can swap out to a hybrid class. I have a feeling that this is going to be a very feat-heavy build, so the extra feat as Human will be golden too...I'll have to make a list of the ones that...

    Opportunity Attacks irrelevant

Spiked Chains do look pretty tempting, but I was actually thinking a Zulaat might be a little bit better overall for my (mostly)ranged build. The weapon description doesn't specifically state that it has reach, but it does say that it's a Double-Weapon *Polearm*/Heavy Blade, which could be...

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Is it allowed to Multiclass as well as add hybrid class feats? I overlooked it at first, but you're a dagger-master warrior Ranger? I didn't know you could do that, lol. If you can Multiclass on top of Hybridizing, can you take Hybrid feats in more then one class? I'm curious as to how the...

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

Thanks for all the info there jbear...gotta go to work, but later today I will definitely take a look! Though I may be a bit of a power gamer, I tried playing a straight melee and later on a straight ranged Ranger...and got a bit bored with them. Thought adding a beast and extra synergy to the...

Misdirection Mark? Is that a Bard Multiclass feat? I haven't heard of that one before...

    Opportunity Attacks irrelevant

Well the builds aren't completely focused on OA's, they're more just gravy on top of the other things they have going for them. Either way, even if OA's only occur once per combat it would still be worth a feat or two to make the most of them imo.
