    D&D 5E Remove Curse & Lycanthropes

My cleric just finished a battle against a pack of werewolves. After the battle I was using remove curse to cure my party of the curse, but I was wondering if it would have been possible for me to use the spell offensively to cure a werewolf as it was attacking us. Has anyone tried this?

D&D 5E I feel like my world is drifting towards low magic, any tips?

I've been playing around with a few ideas as well, specifically around damage dealing - without spell casters and powerful damage dealing spells, what do you do? This isn't playtested, but feel free to steal it: Overbearing Attack A character can expand a hit die to add that die to their to hit...

D&D 5E Armor as Damage Reduction

The target audience for this is good at math. We're all stats, comp sci, and physics people. I work with R, and love number crunching. Hence why I love projects like this. I enjoy creating the system, and my players enjoy gaming it. As for your idea, armor as hit points is the same as armor as...

    D&D 5E silver standard

Why go silver? Go for broke and switch to a barter economy! I'm only partially kidding. I've always wanted to play a campaign where the characters had their class abilities but those were secondary to their skills/backgrounds. So if you're a fighter and a farmer, your primary concern is raising...

D&D 5E Armor as Damage Reduction

I've seen the idea posted about a few times but haven't stumbled across any hard and fast rules. I was thinking of implementing an armor as DR system in my next homebrew campaign. I have a few ideas but want to see what - if anything - others have done with 5th edition on this topic. My...

D&D 5E Guidance on Illusion spells

This is, honestly, why I feel illusion spells should be removed from the game - and I love illusionists since I read about them in 2nd Edition. The problem, however, is that every illusion spell is very malleable, by design. Yet, I've only met one DM who was capable of working with an...

D&D 5E What settings would you like to see in 5e?

The FANUILH world by Daniel Hood would be pretty cool in my book!

    MS Publisher & Publishing

Hi Everyone! So I'm working on an ebook covering an adventure in a demi-plane. I'm hoping to put it up on DM Guild, but am concerned about working with Publisher. Has anyone tried it or worked with it? Any tips or advice? I'm using Publisher because I use it at work so I'm fairly familiar with...

D&D 5E Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

It went from a full campaign setting which it was in 2nd Edition, and I believe 3x, back to a demiplane - and the plot hooks tie it directly to the Realms - making it Realm-centric. In 2nd Edition, the only campaign setting cross over that was blatant was Lord Soth with DragonLance (both...

Sooooo it's not worth it to them :)

Then subtract that amount from Curse of Strahd (though it is now officially in the realms and is NOT a separate campaign setting - hence why I included it).

D&D 5E Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

Average Page Count to London Travel Guides (Based on Amazon.com Survey): 250 Total number of pages dedicated to Faerun: 1,470 (Currently) And that doesn't include the fluff parts of the PHB, DMG, MM or even Volo's guide that are dedicated to FR. So move that number upwards. That's probably in...

D&D 5E Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

No, that isn't what I'm saying. The MM, PHB, DMG, Volo's Guide, SCAG are all FR centric rules books. APs build on the lore of the FRs and the setting. As a quick whistle stop tour, you have: * LMoP (Nice starting intro to the Realms, near Waterdeep) * Confrontation at Candlekeep (Duh) * Curse...

D&D 5E Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

I voted no, mostly because I feel that with the core books, APs set in the realms, and the SCAG that the realms is pretty fully covered. Further, as they continue down the path of new APs, then things could radically change in the realms: "Oh! Waterdeep gets destroyed!" which makes the setting...

D&D 5E Adorable players overestimating themselves

People think they're tough till they're not. I find that the best way to avoid this is to keep a number of encounters going that high light the strengths and weaknesses of all PCs. In other words, don't just have dungeon crawls with combat. If half of your encounters require social skills - such...

D&D 5E Inspired by the Season: Snow Halflings - the Children of Snegurochka

Children of Snegurochka(Origin: Based very loosely on the Snow Maiden folktale) Deep within the cold taiga of the north are isolated pockets of halflings who trace their origin to a pair of lonely humans and the mythical Snow Maiden. It is written that, the humans - alone in the frozen woods -...

D&D 5E Is looking in the books O.K

I'm with the not at the table group. I do allow survival, arcana, and other relevant checks to "remember" things if it makes sense. Sent from my SM-G930V using EN World mobile app

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Fighter: Samurai, Sharpshooter, Arcane Archer & Knight

For the sharpshooter you are 100% right. My bad on that, as I thought that the class was restricted to bows/crossbows for some reason. The sharpshooter can use throwing axes, javelins etc - which is cool! At the same time, the complaint is still valid against Arcane Archers.
