    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Howdy! We started with with 3d6 in order rolled, moved to 3d6 in player selected order to get characters and classes we would like to play, then finally ended up with the 4d6 with player selected order to get viable characters like you mention. We have been doing this for years and seems to...

IS Gary Gygax's World Builder Hardcover any good?

Howdy! I just bought a copy of the book last Friday. I have only had a chance to glance through the book, but I thought that it will be a great tool for me as a DM. So far I am glad that I purchased it! :) Mike

Canting Crew: is it worth the purchase?

Howdy! I purchased The Canting Crew when it was first released and still use it when I work on my campaign (when I get the chance). I think that it is useful across a wide variety of gaming systems, not just 3rd edition D&D and Lejendary Adventure (as it is written for). I still hope to have...

Poll: Rating your D&D game based on criteria in Monte Cook's article in Dragon #300

Howdy! My games tend to be standard, with perhaps some leaning to light-hearted. They have been that way since we started playing in the late '70s and is a level that we are all comfortable with. Mike

    Reading Group--Caesar's Legion

Howdy! I have a related question -- do the legionaires assemble in full armor and weapons? If so, then why would a unit submit to decimation if it could fight back? Thanks. Mike

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Howdy! This reminds me of a thread at www.lejendary.com a year or so ago! :D IIRC, the LA rules doesn't go into detail on which dice to roll in this case -- the assumption is that the players know how to convert a range into the mix of dice needed to generate the specified distribution. Mike

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Howdy! Nice example. Any chance of posting a copy of it over at www.lejendary.com? Thanks again! Mike

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Howdy! I just wanted to say that this was a nice story on how you created a world. Any chance you will include this tale in your World Builder's Guide? Thanks. Mike

What Generation of D&D are you?

Howdy! I moved from wargames to the first Basic (blue cover) boxed set in the summer of '79, quickly moving on to AD&D that winter. :) Mike

    Reading Group--Caesar's Legion

Howdy! I would rate this as a 4 if you enjoy history or a 5 if you really like Roman military history. It presents the material in a new way (at least to me) by concentrating on 1 legion and its place in Roman history. I would have prefered some more maps of the battles and some more...

Mass Combat: Militray Tactics Old and New!

Howdy! Thanks for the Sun Tzu excerpts. It is indeed interesting and adds to this discussion. :) I haven't had a chance to read his Art of War. What is the best translation of it available in printed form? Thanks. Mike

    WotC ESDs

Howdy! I have purchased several OAD&D books and modules in the ESD format. I have been generally satisfied with the quality of the material, although I did find that one of the pages in the MM2 was out of place. Also, I believe that EX1 and EX2 were special areas that were accessed from areas...
