    ENWorld = whiners arguing ?

I've seen several references to the rules forum being the thickest hive of mindless bickering on EN World. I don't post there much except when I want help on specific issues, so I have a hard time understanding how the RUles forum could be such a heated place. To illustrate this, let me put...

No more Star Wars RPG - It's Official

It probably made a lot of sense from the LFL side. Lucusfilms doesn't have a priority of supporting the SW RPG. Yes I'm sure they want all their products to do well, but the SW RPG must have been a very small bit in the entire SW prodcut range. On the other hand, WotC does have a priority in...

    Baseball Playoffs are on!

Ditto. Redbirds all the way this time. I would have loved to see a Yankees-Cardinals series, though. The Cards have had the Yankees' number in the WS ever since Grover Alexander struck out Lazerri in '26.

Has the RPG market crashed the $40 product price ceiling?

That's anohter question obviously--have the higher-price products been successful to date? I've only seen anecdotal evidence, but the WLD does seem to be a smash hit.

Has the RPG market crashed the $40 product price ceiling?

Yeah, I thought of that. I wasn't including 'Deluxe' editions, which are equivelents of products more in line with standard market prices. Ther'es also the Deluxe PHB at $70.

Has the RPG market crashed the $40 product price ceiling?

One of the first RPG products I remember to be priced over $40 was the CONAN RPG from Mongoose. But in general, for much of the 3e/d20 era $40, (US List price) has been sort of a glass ceiling for RPG products, certainly pertaining to that segment of the RPG market. There've been the...

Fane of the Drow - an ongoing review - Major Spoilers!

Merric How many hours of game time did the adventure take? Also, is the new FR adventure Sons of Gruumsh designed in a similar format to Fane of the Drow (mini maps, short-combat focused module, etc?)

    D&D/The History Channel promotion

I'm guessing there's a few out there that still only own the 3.0 version. There's certainly lots of peopel in my group that don't own either a 3.0/3.5 PHB. They'd be unlikely to buy a Dungeon but they might browse one before/after a game.

    PDFs and bookmarking.

I completely agree with this comment. I find PDFs I can't add bookmarks to irritating, especially if it didn't have bookmarks to begin with. Many of the watermarked PDFs based on print RPG materials sold at DTRPG are this way.

    FLGS in Denver/Fort Collins area

I'm going to be visiting my sister in Fort Collins, Colorado next month. Can anyone advise me on some good game shops in either Fort Collins, Greeley, or the Denver area? My interest would be mostly D&D related--D&D, D&D minis, D20, etc, Green Ronin, Kenzer, Mongoose, Necro, etc. Thanks

    Why wikipedia cannot be trusted

I absolutely love wikipedia, one of my favorite sites. When I know absolutely nothign about a topic I go there all the time. That said, yeah, you have to be careful what you read there, especially about controversial topics. As above people mention, check the discussion and edit logs, and...

TSR Example from the worst TSR adventure module(s) ever published

I11 - Needle get's atrocious reveiws, though Iv'e never read or used it. It's available free on the WotC website. WG12 Puppets's gets similar reviews. Of the mods I have actually owned: It's difficult to say because when I was 10 I rarely was that critical--rose tinted glasses and all that...
