D&D/The History Channel promotion

I dunno, I think I know where the G4 commercial is going, even if I didn't quite like it. I'd LIKE to see it available online. That's sort of a duh ... more or less free advertising to let people download it and see it.

It's sort of that "super-kitchy off-beat" stuff that's popular with the kiddies these days. Like Adult Swim does (and that's another place that would be great for them to advertise).

I liked the adverts during the D&D movie ... cheap, effective, right THERE. They were built for that one moment so there wasn't much need to make them all that expensive.

I like that D&D is at least TRYING to advertise. And, unlike the adverts for Magic: tG back in the day, I think they're starting small, cheap, and sharply focused as opposed to slapping up huge, expensive, major-distro commercials that break the bank and may not even hit the channels where D&D-player-possibles will be watching. (I.E. you're more likely to find a higher percentage of sales-per-viewer on G4 and The History Channel than you will on CBS and NBC, possibly.)

Given the history channels usual content wouldn't WWII based RPG be more appropriate?
:)
Nice to hear that WotC are trying to get a bit of promotion outside the usual channels.

Yeah, really. I think it was the last page of the current Dungeon magazine that has an ad for the Players Handbook. The Players Handbook. Is there anyone, anyone that reads Dungeon magazine that doesn't own one?

I'm guessing there's a few out there that still only own the 3.0 version.

There's certainly lots of peopel in my group that don't own either a 3.0/3.5 PHB. They'd be unlikely to buy a Dungeon but they might browse one before/after a game.
