I dunno, I think I know where the G4 commercial is going, even if I didn't quite like it. I'd LIKE to see it available online. That's sort of a duh ... more or less free advertising to let people download it and see it.
It's sort of that "super-kitchy off-beat" stuff that's popular with the kiddies these days. Like Adult Swim does (and that's another place that would be great for them to advertise).
I liked the adverts during the D&D movie ... cheap, effective, right THERE. They were built for that one moment so there wasn't much need to make them all that expensive.
I like that D&D is at least TRYING to advertise. And, unlike the adverts for Magic: tG back in the day, I think they're starting small, cheap, and sharply focused as opposed to slapping up huge, expensive, major-distro commercials that break the bank and may not even hit the channels where D&D-player-possibles will be watching. (I.E. you're more likely to find a higher percentage of sales-per-viewer on G4 and The History Channel than you will on CBS and NBC, possibly.)
