None of my players have their PHB yet, should i encourage them to pick them up after a session or two? We are all teenagers and most dont have jobs, I want them to make sure they like the hobby before they put money in it.

I am not experinced with the classes (havent actually played) Which would be better for a nub player who wants a warrior type. Fighter or Barbarian? Lucky me I already have players who want to play a cleric and rogue, and sorcerer...balanced party *gasp*

I actually already have the DMing for Dummies book, pretty helpful IMO. I found it funny that the level 1 adventure was killing rats in a bar :P. Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll just keep the issues then run it at a later time when my players are more experinced.

I am going to subscribing to Dungeon, and I heard they are doing an adventure path A Savage Tide. Would this put less strain on me than a homebrew? Me and my players have yet to actually play D&D, so I figured this would be awsome for us. Just wondering the opinons of those with more experince...

I know its a campain setting, and Ive heard alot of praise about it, but I honestly dont know anything about it. I was wondering if any of you could enlighten me on the setting.Whats good, whats bad. Should I buy or no? Edit: Forgot Wikipedia is my friend

You might look into buying The Basic Game, its only $20 and has simplified rules. If your new to D&D/DMing you might stop by the chatroom there is always a game you could join (helped me out, im a new DM also)
