I dought that would really work. A monster would surely hear the group if they were only 5 ft. away! I think that if a character is actually meant for "scouting", he should optimize his/her character so that they can sneak around without getting noticed.

Well, it depends if you are more focused on sheer power or roleplaying. For sheer power, I would suggest the following classes: Barbarian, Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, Wizard/Sorcerer. EDIT: Can't stress the cleric part enough. Maybe even two...but, as ^ said, that could be overdoing it.

About the touch AC, I have no idea. I guess I just forgot to fix that. I'm wondering, could someone please give me the stats for the Frenzied Berserker? Is there anyway to make it playable without the killing of other party members?

Hmm...I would recommend the following: Banishment, any of the Bigby's Spells, Holy Word, Bless, Blindness/Deafness, Bull's Strength, Darkness, Daylight, Destruction, any of the dispel spells, Doom, Earthquake, Endure Elements, Fire Storm, Flame Strike, Freedom of Movement, Greater Restoration...
