Is this Character Too Powerful? Is it broken?

Looks fine, it really depends on the DM, some just look at the damage numbers and go "this is too high!" without factoring in all considerations.

About the touch AC, I have no idea. I guess I just forgot to fix that.

I'm wondering, could someone please give me the stats for the Frenzied Berserker? Is there anyway to make it playable without the killing of other party members?

Hi Krel,

There are two answers two the question: "Is this character too powerful?".

As a DM, I would not have any problem allowing you to play the character provided that other players would also use powerful, templated builds (so, the levels of power would be more or less evenly distributed). Then, I could just use templated monsters to challenge all of you :). The fights would be shorter and more brutal on average.

In all other cases I would increase the LA by 4 (to +8). There is simply no way for a 16-th level fighter, based on one of the core races and equipped with core items, to challenge you in fight (or to be as effective in melee as your character). So, effectively, you would be considered a 20-th level character. The LA as it is now (+4) is suitable for spellcasters rather than melee characters.

BTW, why is the sword dealing 3d6 damage?

You still haven't explained how your character got a Int and Cha of 8 when the minimum of both should be 10 (if you are using Point Buy).

I will change them, but I don't see what would be so bad about having a low intelligence and charisma. It would only hamper me, not help me.

You are asking if the PC is overpowered.

If he has a 10 Int and 10 Cha instead of two 8s, then he is slightly more powerful than before. Not in combat ability per se, but in some skills and number of skills.

Btw, some of the skills are off even before the Int adjustment. For example, Intimidate has +1 for Cha instead of -1.

And, you spent 83 skill points when the PC only gets 58 max (4 * 14 + 2).

And, the PC has 185 hit points. I figure it should be 177 (unless you rolled dice).

12 (Barb 1) + 65 (Barb 10) + 6 (Fighter 1) + 84 (CON +7 * 12)

Assuming you put all 3 level ability score modifiers into Strength, this character (before racial or item adjustments) had stats of:

Str 17 (13), Dex 16 (10), Con 16 (10), Int 8 (0), Wis 14 (6), Cha 8 (0)

for a total point buy of 39. That's pretty high. If 39 point buy is what the DM is handing out, then we should know that in order to give an informed opinion. If this is the case, then the campaign is already powered up a bit.

There just seems to be some inconsistencies here which should be cleaned up first and some campaign rules which should be mentioned before people can give an informed decision.

When I try "powergaming", as some would call it, my DM seems to think that it unbalances the game.

Assuming what you've said is correct, you do imbalance the game - balance is relative. Your level of skill exceeds that of your comrades, so you should expect to imbalance the game regularly, absent their getting help or your deliberately holding yourself back.
