It wasn't why you gave them low values, it was that you gave them lower than the normal (point buy) rules allow.

Cha 8 (minimum) +2 = 10
Int 8 (minimum) +2 = 10


Also, I would suggest against Frenzied Berserker given what you said about your DM. Not only is it powerful, but it has the downside of you frenzying most of the times you get attacked. Plus, for a powerful PC, it can get even worse. You will probably wipe out a fellow party member sooner or later since you have such a low Will save to get out of Frenzy.

Not everybody uses point buy. Unless I missed something in his post, he didn't say it was built with point buy.

Here on the rules forum, it is generally assumed that someone who posts a character and is looking for advice is using point buy unless he states that he rolled xyz ability scores. Otherwise, you cannot determine if there are mistakes due to invalid ability scores.

Also, if you would have read further in the thread before posting, you would have noticed that he stated that he would fix that (course, he hasn't done that yet).

Why should it matter? If someone is asking for character advice and he makes a mistake with his stats, that is easily recitified later on when someone notices the mistake, and it wont impact any build too much.
