I agree. A great time for someone to start a 4e PbP! I bring this up because I am unlikely to get to play 4e in person any time soon, and because I think Olgar would be a great person to run such a PbP.

PCs walk into a room, kill the bad guys and take their stuff. They are being followed by more bad guys. The fighter wants to put on the fancy new armor they found in the room. Can he put it on before the next group of bad guys catches up to the PCs?

Isn't diaglo old enough that we can just use his sensibilities as our guideline, rather than having to refer some elder matriarch?

I am game for some kid-friendly products. I game sometimes with my sons, ages 9, 7 and 5. My idea of kid-friendly does not really minimize violence. Kids play video games where they kill monsters and bad guys. I have no problem with violence in my games. I do minimize, or remove altogether...

This sounds great. I have not made the leap to getting an iPod or similar player yet, but this might be the hook that pushes me to make the leap.

You are planning pretty far ahead. There may be many more options by the time she is ready, especially if you like 4.0 and they publish basic versions. I started my sons with the D&D basic set, but I was the DM so they did not have to know all the rules. The attention span point is a good...

My sentinments precisely. As for the poll results, I don't think anyone expected C&C to "win out" over D&D. Many of the target fan base probably do not even post here.

This book is a fun read, and so very useful. I've needed rules for lava for a long time, and now I have them!
