Thankyou. This was an attempt to come up with a plausible way for a low lvl enemy to gain control of a small band of superstitious goblins ( by animating their rescently dead chief and skeletons in the crypt they live in.

I have a 2nd lvl Wizard Necromancer as the antagonist against a 1st lvl group. She has an animate dead scroll would her DC to cast the scroll be 8 (Scroll created by 7lvl Wiz) and would she be able to animate 2, 1HD skeletons and 1, 2HD zombie. Thanks :)

I'm not a big Eberron fan (just because I have enough settings I like) but I read the above articles on their Gnomes and thats how I'm going to portray them. It fits them very well and makes alot of sense.

I wish there was a good set of rules that help define what the gnome niche is. Like some tinkering feats that had rules for what their devices could do or that they have some inborn illusionary magic. :D

Right now we meet at my house but one of the players gives my wife the creeps so I'm trying to think of a nice way to boot him to the curb. Good player though, little bit of a rules lawyer. I might check on meeting at a gamestore.

I'm very sad to see Wil's column go, I read it every month. It only took up one page, it was at the end on the magazine, and from his writing you can tell that he loved the games he wrote about. All the people that keep whining about his star trek character really should move on with their lives.
