    Keepitcoming

Hi, I thought this website might be of interest to some of you. It's a website where you can purchase subscriptions to serial stories, some of them look pretty good. www.keepitcoming.com

If you started playing D&D with the Basic D&D rules, which edition was it?

Mentzer The Mentzer box was my start, I saw it in a magazine and asked for it for my birthday. And then, more than twenty years later, I had the opportunity to visit Larry Elmore in his studio, and the original painting for that box cover was the first thing I saw. That was a unique experience.

Which edition of D&D did you start with?

Hmm Sorry to change the subject but this poll really illustrates the 'aging' of RPG players.

The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth - your experiences?

Ouch You just had to mention this one... this module provided my group's first TPK... one of only two I ever experienced as a player. It was also my first attempt at playing a Cleric. There's a +1 Mace down in there somewhere, I'd appreciate it if someone picked it up for me, the next of kin...

Keep on the Borderlands - your experiences?

Loved it I can't remember any module I've enjoyed more. I've played it and DM'd it many, many times, including a couple of months ago to introduce a new generation of players to the game. My first time playing was in this module. My first character (and elf named Magnum, Lol) did his level...

Summoning device for a Sand Elemental?

How about a kitty-litter box? Heh, or a piece of 'raw' glass?

Why don't your players like psionics?

honestly... Honestly no one in my gaming group ever found psionics interesting. 'Thinking' someone to death is about as much fun as playing a bard... which I guess would be 'singing' them to death. Just not our cup o tea.

Which of these books are you buying?

The answer to all is 'Probably Not'. If I find a copy of Eberron on sale somewhere, maybe. Nothing here really interests me. So much of it is just the 'same old'.

The contests are OVER! Thanks very much to everyone for playing!

I am afraid that DnD may go classless in future editions, but I certainly hope that it won't. Using classes makes far too much sense to me.

The contests are OVER! Thanks very much to everyone for playing!

For a lot of very selfish reasons I'd like to see Women of the Woods from Elmore productions do well. The concept of the book is nice and I like the fiction content.

    Waaah! We broke our GM!

You may just have to 'retire' the character, which I've had to do a couple of times before I was ready. If the DM isn't prepared to continue, there's not much use in trying to force him. Start a new campaign, new characters, maybe a new player or two. You might enjoy a lower level character for...

Do you tailor your treasure or do you roll on the treasure tables?

I always tailor the treasure found, but this doesn't necessarily mean I only give them stuff that's useful to them but, if they get an item they can't use, it's because I chose to give it to them, and there are a lot of reasons why I do this. Maybe I'm just a control freak. :D

The contests are OVER! Thanks very much to everyone for playing!

Bumping this back to the first page... so um, BFG, how many more contests do you intend to run?

The contests are OVER! Thanks very much to everyone for playing!

I go to two-three cons a year to work, I've never been to one just to play  . I think anyone who enjoys gaming ought to go to one a year, anyway. There's just too much going on to miss it.

[Vanishing Goblin] Open Call for Writers [Notifications Sent]

Anyone else suffer from this? After submitting a proposal for a writing project and not getting accepted, I almost always end up buying the product just to justify to myself that my proposal was better than the stuff they accepted... kind of a 'win-win' situation for the publisher, heh. :D

The contests are OVER! Thanks very much to everyone for playing!

I was 'turned on' to Enworld through an editor I met at a Publishers meeting on my first 'real' writing project.
