I received my adventure today.

The only other power granting threatening reach that I can think of off hand is the level 12 utility power from the Goliath's racial paragon path. Unfortunately that only lasts until the end of your next turn, not for an encounter.

I would have liked some new toys to play with as well. Its not like new weapons & armor took up 20 pages in AV1. Oh well, maybe some more non-magical weapons and armor could be introduced via Dragon. Still interested to hear more about what is in AV2. I'll wait til I read through it in the...

On a related note, are there any bows or crossbows that allow you to use them as Bard implements in AV2?

I think they are supposed to be comparable to the Superior Weapons. I don't recall where they were discussed off hand, I just remember their existence being mentioned. Perhaps someone else who has a better recollection of the discussion surrounding them can chime in.

Sure. Going along with today's free AV2 preview, are there any item sets that have a theme to them that seem especially cool to you? Also, are there any story items that have a particularly interesting history? On a more mechanical note, are there any especially neat items for an Invoker?

It isn't a preview. The article is from the Class Acts series. That being said, changes are still made at times from the single article to the compiled issue of Dragon so we'll still have to wait and see what it ends up being.

Wasn't the guideline for discrepancies like that text before table? As far as the contents of the article, I was pleased to see the Rapier/Parrying Dagger based paragon path. I'd been thinking of trying to make a character like that without using a Rogue, so that was perfect timing.
