I wouldnt worry too much about it, they cant all be award-winning sessions. I dont know anyone who has played for a significant amount of time that hasnt had at least a couple of lukewarm games, no matter how hard everyone tried to make the game great.

Sad news indeed. Her FR Atlas was (and still is, to an exent) my personal launch pad to adventuring in the Forgotten Realms. As a DM, I used it extensively to further my understanding of the geography of the realms and as a primer for launching adventures there. Her work was superb.
