Well, that's pretty much exactly how the Remhoraz's Swallow attack works, by the MM2. Deal 30+ damage with a single attack, it spits you up. Otherwise, at the start of the Remhoraz's turn, you take 10 untyped damage and another 10 fire damage. Out of curiosity, are you the DM, or a player?

Do note that in GW, ammo is only tracked at all for firearms, and the ammo rule is in place as a limit on the firearm's power. Every other ranged weapon is untracked. So, maybe it would be fine to use ammo rules for magic arrows and the like, but for bog-standard arrows? Just don't track 'em.

That's what Laser Sharks are for. In all seriousness, I'd be inclined to rule that during your turn, you don't have to make a skill check when hit (from an OA, frex). Off your turn, though, you don't have a climb speed anymore, making it dangerous to hang around on the wall if you can be attacked.

I've been wondering about those dapper devil bases. Do they snap on? Adhere? Loose fit?

I use alea tools, but I run out of those clay bases real fast. I've started using flatheaded pushpins instead, for plastic minis - make sure the head is REAL flat, push it through the bottom, and then trim with some pliers if necessary. They're cheaper and faster to get than the adhesive disks...
