How would you rule this as a DM?

PC swallowed whole by a Remorhaz but the PC is completely immune to fire and 50% immune to acid. I think the PC should be able to cut their way out, maybe taking some corrosive damage. What do you think?:erm:

Well, that's pretty much exactly how the Remhoraz's Swallow attack works, by the MM2. Deal 30+ damage with a single attack, it spits you up. Otherwise, at the start of the Remhoraz's turn, you take 10 untyped damage and another 10 fire damage.

Out of curiosity, are you the DM, or a player?

DM, why?

Since you are the GM, it's your call. Personally, I think this is a prime opportunity for a player to do something theatrical and have a "Remember when..." moment. It's really all about the players.

Remember:
- These are the moments that players remember.
- These are the moments that make you a great GM in their eyes.
- These are the moments where story and action are more important that rules.

Just ensure that the players understand this is an opportune moment for theatrics and NOT an excuse to make it a regular tactic against swallow attacks.
