[UPDATED] A Savage D&D 5E Campaign Setting From the Makers of PRINCES OF THE APOCALYPSE

I thought that might be what he was referring to, but as those particular cases were in a completely different ballpark of infringement, I thought he might have something else in mind.

[UPDATED] A Savage D&D 5E Campaign Setting From the Makers of PRINCES OF THE APOCALYPSE

What are you referring to? I haven't heard that for example Book of Lost Spells and Fifth Edition Foes has resulted in any problems for Frog God Games and I assume Morrus would have mentioned it, if En5ider had gotten any C&Ds.

    D&D 5E DRUID TRANSFORMATION !!

I would rule either that seeing a conjured animal isn't enough to use its shape, or even that you can't conjure animals that you haven't seen before. It hasn't come up in my games yet, so I haven't decided, but in any case, I would never allow conjured animals to be an easy out for the...

    D&D 5E Removal of class-based stat bonuses?

I let my players place the racial bonuses in stats of their choice. It seems to work out fine. Just because the average half-orc is stronger than the average halfling, doesn't mean that have to be the case for the extra-ordinary individuals that pick up adventuring.

D&D 5E Monsters for a Second Monster Book

You really shouldn't, unless it is the version of the game you prefer. But I guess that is a given, no matter how much new material is released. For me 5e is the best version of D&D (even if they stopped releasing new stuff for it tomorrow), but if I preferred 2e (or any other edition), I would...

D&D 5E Do you ever create a PC off a mini?

Yeah, I use pics for my NPCs too. I am not very good at describing appearances verbally, so it is a lot easier for me to show how a NPC looks, rather than explaining it.

D&D 5E Do you ever create a PC off a mini?

We don't use minis, but I do the same with artwork found around the internet. When I have a rough idea for a character, I often check Google image search, DeviantArt, etc. for art that would fit my idea and then build the rest of the character (appearance, weapons, and armor) based on that.

    D&D 5E Most powerful class in 5e

What I have found is, that there aren't a single class in 5e that can be considered the most powerful. While some classes seems very powerful on paper, the way that the DM runs his/her games, is the deciding factor, so the most powerful class will be different from table to table. For example...

D&D 5E So what's exactly wrong with the fighter?

Sundering the enemies' armor is all fun and games, until the monsters start doing it to the PCs. That would of course solve any problems one might have, with finding stuff for the PCs to spend their loot on :-)

    D&D 5E (Poll) Combat Difficulty

I voted hard, but I really prefer a good mix (with most in the hard to deadly categories). While it is nice to be challenged, it is a lot of fun to occasionally have a battle where you are clearly superior to your foes. It is a good way to feel that you are progressing, when something that was...

    D&D 5E Why does 5E SUCK?

It seems to me, that when people likes a rule in their favorite edition, they use that to show what a great edition it is, and when they don't like a rule, they use that to show how easy it is to houserule their favorite edition. Funnily enough that seems to fit both those who prefer 4e and...

D&D 5E 5e Fighter, Do You Enjoy Playiing It?

Haven't had the chance to play it that much yet, but so far it is just as much fun as any other class. The other guys in our group who have played fighter (champions) seems to have found it entertaining as well. I don't really think your class has much to do with how enjoyable play is anyway. I...

D&D 5E How many gamers ACTUALLY play in AL?

AL isn't really an option where I live (I don't even know if it an option anywhere in my country). As for the UA articles etc. I use them on a case-by-case basis, based on the campaign I'm running and any interest from my players, so I couldn't care less if stuff is AL approved or not.

D&D 5E What would be your ideal 5E yearly product output?

While I am happy with their current release schedule, I will probably buy every book they release anyway (as long as they are hardcovers, I love hardcovers, they are so pretty...) :-/

New D&D Survey: What Do you Want From Older Editions?

I gave it somewhat positive feedback and haven't done drugs since the nineties.

D&D 5E MUSING: An Evergreen, static Fifth Edition...

what makes the people wanting more think, that even if WotC released two or three more books within the next half year, it would be something you would like? You clearly aren't impressed with the stuff released so far (APs, UA articles, spell cards, DM screens, etc.), so what makes you think...

D&D 5E WotC will not allow translation of D&D NEXT.

I can't imagine many Danish players wanting a translation. The terms we have been used to hearing/reading in English, most often sound very weird or even horrible when translated. In any way, I doubt that it would be financially feasible to translate the game into other languages (with a few...

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

That is true, but WotC has explained that those earlier strategies wasn't that viable and that is why they are trying something new. It is not a case of them just rolling a result on the "Random Business Strategy" table.

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

I have a feeling that many people simply cannot fathom, that WotC would take a strategy so far from what they themselves consider an obviously better one (i.e. releasing plenty of splat books to make a quick buck). They keep waiting for the "just kidding, of course we will release 10 books per...

D&D 5E MUSING: An Evergreen, static Fifth Edition...

That is what I have been assuming will be the case for some time now, and I have no problem with it at all. Our group hasn't even begun to use any of the UA options yet, so there are plenty for us to do with what we have for the foreseeable future. Sure, at some point a new MM would be nice, but...
