D&D 5E Greater Invis and Stealth checks, how do you rule it?

We can but that doesn't get us past rule 0 and everything being up for interpretation. I agree how I see the rules as written your example of the Wizard and the Orc follows my understanding of RAW regarding invisible creatures hiding and stealth. But RAW leaves a lot of open spaces that need to...

D&D 5E Greater Invis and Stealth checks, how do you rule it?

We could but we could also read the OP which asks how you rule it. Plus RAW isn't a thing it's always ruled as interrupted at best.

    D&D 5E New Errata & Advice For D&D Issued

Kobolds become more valuable with this they were a good rogue even with the-2STR. Now they can be a good rogue a good fighter a good Paladin they are just good. This is a good thing.

D&D 5E Greater Invis and Stealth checks, how do you rule it?

What makes you unheard is the hard part. That isn't defined in rules and that would determine how I ruled it. The group I DM for stays close together and is more a kick down the doors and be loud and boisterous at the tavern group. Not a stealth and deception group. Invisible paladin in heavy...

    What's more fun - a die or a number?

It really depends for attacks and saving throws I'm a fan of static numbers I want to roll once (2dies if I have advantage or disadvantage) and know the outcome. For damage the more dice the better.

    D&D 5E Psionics in Tasha

It kind of depends on what you meaned by core. Conditions are definitely core as their mechanics are baked into the core mechanics of the game. Gods and planes are wrapped into spell casting so to an extent they are core but you could change the fluff around them to weaken them in your game.

Level Up (A5E) Rogue playtest document coming tomorrow. Here's a sneak peek!

I am really excited to look over the rogue class in the morning. I have liked most of what I've seen so far.

    D&D 5E New Errata & Advice For D&D Issued

Except by RAW they no longer do. I mean they can be that way at your table but they always could. You not acknowledging that they changed the written rules does change the fact the rules have been changed.

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden -- A Comprehensive Review

Only part way through the adventure and it looks pretty good. My biggest issue is while the maps are high quality, most of them are scaled at 10 ft or more per square which is inconvenient for VTT as most players are used to a 5ft scale. No issues when I'm playing at the table but I won't...

    D&D 5E Psionics in Tasha

I have a Talislanta the Savage Lands game I'm going to run like this. There is no magic but as the game goes on they will discover forgotten secrets and gain access to some magic.

D&D General Best VTT for the most players?

In the game I'm a player in the DM decided to invest (money for the PHB and XG) and the time needed to learn the system. The maps are sharp and clean but rolling is clunky and we have went to discord for audio. Most use touch to talk so you miss the last part of what everyone says and no one...

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral shakes his head slightly as he approaches Everett and the townsfolk. “One of my companions and I have come from East End, and at this moment we do not know what has happened in Leed’s Crossing, I was actually hoping you would be able to give us some more information.” “That doesn’t seem...

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral shook his head as he surveyed the town, so much death, so much pain and for what? Valdral quickly went about his work attempting to help with the wounded and saying prayers for the dead. The zombies were weighing on Valdral’s mind what kind of monster would raise the dead to fight for...

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral nodded, “That is not a bad plan, but if we hope the Kobolds to return we should keep the village looking more or less like it does now, either that or wait to spring an ambush on them just outside of sight of the village.”

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral grimaced as he saw the undead monsters resume their attack on his friend, his companions were falling all around him. “By the grace of the Gods lets end this now,” Valdral said quietly as he called upon the gods once again. Valdral cast sacred flame on the lizard man DC 13 Dex ST or...

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral grimaced as he looked at the horrid scene playing out in front of them, “You will harm these men no more,” he screamed as he held his shield and its holy symbol out towards the zombies. Valdral uses his channel divinity to turn undead. Each undead within 30ft of you must make a Wisdom...

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral squints his eyes hoping they would adjust to the dark but it was no use. He prays for light and a bright light begins to emanate from his shield as he moved forward. Valdral cast light on his shield and if he has movement left he will move to R21

[IC] JM's A Bit of Trouble (Book 2)

Valdral takes a deep breath and looks over to Swithun they had come for a purpose, do they risk it on a possible fool’s errand. “Do we follow Everett and try to rescue his cousin, or we do we see to the task we were assigned first. I’ll follow your lead on this one.”

Dan Dillon is D&D's Newest Designer!

I'm not exactly a "kid" and I'm not a huge fan of watching streams of other people playing D&D, I do enjoy listening to other people play D&D as I commute, or do yard work or paint D&D mini's. Critical Role has some great character development and I have loved the ten or so episodes of the World...
