George RR Martins 4th book in his Song of Ice and Fire series will not be released in the UK until March 2003 apparently :( 9 more months :(

I wouldn't worry, I didn't pick up on it either :) I am guessing that the Japanese names of these games just didn't translate so they chose some of the minor characters of the star Wars universe to fill in... Though I could be very,very wrong :D

We are both Batwomen.... Actually (after my SO had a go) My names Batwoman, and so is my wife's :D

Neither of them work particularly well in my opinion...

As with any game I think that the number of Role playing oppurtunities in RttToEE are really down to individual party and DM styles. Yes it is full of action and combat, but their is also a lot of possible intrigue and double dealing that can take place in the scenario if you should choose to...

But surely, we can't really be certain that our splendid D20 Modern ideas aren't exactly what WotC have in store for us anyway? Maybe we should wait until D20 Modern is actually released before thinking up "new" settings for it... :D

My guess (and it is a guess) is that you roll (or choose) the treasure for the standard CR of the creature and then choose the gear for the Character Class that is added on. So hypothetical Otyugh would have treasure as per a CR 4 standard monster plus the gear of a 3rd level Rogue...

In the MM it states that the CR of an advanced creature stays the same but the experience points are increased so if you increase the HD by 50% the PCs get 150% of exp and so on... However I am sure that I read somewhere that this had been modified sio that the CR of the beast goes up by one...

Due to decidedly dodgy tactics on our own part we nearly got wiped out by the Bugbear and his Dire Rat pets... But this is what happens when you decide to climb down a pit in relays with all the characters arriving at different times :rolleyes: My character (Druid) was killed, two fighters...

Hmmm... This is an excellent opportunity and one that I will take advantage of :)

I also use the George RR Martin method... Take a "real world" name and change a couple of letters, so Andrew could become Androw, Endrew, Endrow. Giving a recognisable but evocative fantasy name. Sometimes this all goes horribly wrong of course, I have a player (Simon) who is presently playing...

How about a invisible Sorcerer who casts several Animate Objects, so in effect you attack them with the ship :D Of course while they are dealing with this the real attack force makes itself known...
