What would casting Grease on a swarm do?

The centipedes could be all slipping around and on their backs ! And they wouldnt be able to use ranged weapons! :o But yeah, whether a swarm can be prone would be a good clarification. In fact, is there any creature that specifies that it can't be prone?

What would casting Grease on a swarm do?

I care only in that , as many people have posted and complained about , this is not a house rules forum, its a rules forum. If you're looking for a RAW answer, thats great. if you're looking for how people house rule stuff, this isnt really the place for it.

What would casting Grease on a swarm do?

Congratulations with your new house rule! Nothing about magic and dragons has anything to do with common sense. The poison example is particularly broken, as the swarm subtype specifies they save as a single creature.

What would casting Grease on a swarm do?

Thats all great, but its all assumption and conjecture. If you want to house rule that grease wouldnt affect a land-based swarm, thats great, but you need some SRD to back up your argument that by RAW grease doesnt affect a land-based swarm.

What would casting Grease on a swarm do?

You are assuming they cannot be knocked prone. The SRD only says they cannot be tripped (unless i'm just missing it, in which case a quote would be nice). can't be tripped != can't be prone. Grease would affect any land-based swarm the same as anything else.

    Sunder/Improved Sunder

Sunder doesnt really seem that bad. Getting through the hardness of stuff would be the more difficult thing for most weapons, not really going to get done with one attack typically. Mentioning the monk thing though, can you sunder a monk's unarmed strike?(I'm sure its no but i dont know why...

    enlarged person - grapple

While mechanically it does seem like the cleric wouldnt be able to move into the opponents space,<warning, house rule!> for simplicity's sake i would just have the opponent moved into the clerics space.</end house rule> As a strict-constructionist DM I would say you cant move into the space and...

    A question regarding Entangle

They way it reads I believe A is the correct way to interpret it. Basically its saying for your full round action you get to 1) not be entagled, and 2) move up to half your normal movement. On the next round if you didnt get out of the entagling area you have to make a reflex save again.

    Control Winds - Tornado?

the srd also has a wind table, that puts tornado as the 7th catagory. As the spell doesnt give the Fort DC needed, and the table does, I'd vote on using the table. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/weather.htm#winds

    CR for symbol of death?

CR = 10 + spell lvl + ability modifier 8th lvl spell would be 10 + 8 + minimum ability score of 18, so +4 bonus for a CR of 22. Pretty sure thats right.

    Craft vs Profession

IMHO Profession sucks as a skill. If your DM doesnt run a game with ALOT of downtime, its useless. and after a few levels, its doubly worthless. "Woohoo, i rolled a 27! Thats a week of work for...27...gold..pieces...Bah, Lets got kill some ogres or something." At best its great for some RP...

It was my understanding that it lasted until you used all the attacks up, that a 12th lvl caster could use it for up to 12 attacks. But reading the description its not entirely obvious.

    Elemental and Half-Dragon age?

Opinion: Elementals don't age, maximum age = infinity. lock her up in a box and come back in a hundred thousand years and she's still there, assuming she didnt kill herself from boredom :o
