i think there are entirely too many presteige classes - but the DMG says it best...those PrCs aren't meant to be used in every campaign...the PrCs you should be using are ones made tailored for your campaign. You know, where it makes sense to have them.

really depends on the individual party you can't say level 10 because, what if they accidentally cause a big catastrophe at level 4? EVERYONE will know who they are - the guys who got teh capitol city blown up! hehehe but really it depends on the world and how they are interacting and how...

i like to keep NPCs lower level... The PCs are the heros, who will be traveling to other dimensional planes (how many npcs do you know that have wandered around the negative energy plane looking for something they need to stop a demon from unleashing hell on earth?)

you don't need to mount the projector on a ceiling, think of a lightstand type deal, where when you're gaming you move the stand to the table and hang the projector from it (through affixation..don't just tie it on!)

You don't want to remove the spellcasting ability from a 15-18th level party thats fighting a whole bunch of monsters ranging from 14-25, thats killing the party. Thats not his goal, he has a story, and he wants to tell it. The story doesn't end by the heros being overpowered by the lich queen...

the lich being able to just touch the pilars and heal may be a bit too much unless the party has alot of wall spells up their sleves, however, you could have it energy drain on touch, so like if a gith knocks a player into one they take some extra damage and a small con drain or something

you could always commute down to san antonio :P i know theres alot of games here for saturday and sundays, its not that long of a drive, especially if you are on the south side of austin (most SA games are on the north side, from what i can see) too bad nobody plays fridays ><
