    Midnight House Rules

I am thinking about doing this myself. The games we've been having, a few players can't seem to get out of the "how many hit points are you at Bill? Here's a cure lite for 6 points, watch out, this things got at least a 22 AC, George you're unconcious? How many negative Hp are you at right...

    Metamagic Mastery (FEAT)

Extend Spell uses a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level. With the Metamagic Mastery FEAT, there would be no increase in spell level. Example: Extend Spell metamagic feat used on a Mage Armor spell (1st level spell), would normally require the use of a 2nd level spell...

Will these changes break the Armor system?

or to simplify things: Medium Armor provides DR 2 Heavy Armor provides DR 4 (optionally Light Armor could provide DR 1)

Anyone looking 4 a cool HalfOrc Monk mini?

This one is much better than that 3 section staff guy. I would post a pic but some fool stole my digital camera from work a month or so ago.

Anyone looking 4 a cool HalfOrc Monk mini?

For a cool Half-Orc Monk miniature Check out... Crucible 91-211 "Orc Outcasts (2)" It is a very muscular orc with foot and wrist wraps, and a "loin-cloth" like shorts. One fist is outstretched foreward, the other is bent at the elbow and close to the body pointing upwards and near the head...

    Metamagic Mastery (FEAT)

Metamagic Mastery [Metamagic] When you use a Metamagic Feat on a spell that causes you to use a spell slot higher than the spell normally would use, you may reduce the spell slot level by one. Example, Quicken Spell normally uses a spell slot 4 levels higher than the spell normally would use...

    3.5 Endurance feat ??????

"and you can sleep in Light or Medium armor without being fatigued" But my point is, you ALREADY CAN sleep in Light or Medium armor without being fatigued without this feat, with the exception of Chainmail Armor. (in 3.0 D&D) ...Unless the rules for sleeping in armor have changed in 3.5...

    3.5 Endurance feat ??????

I read in the new Dragon mag (and a few other places) that in D&D 3.5, the Endurance feat will now also allow a character to sleep in Light or Medium armor without being fatigued the next day. (Fatigue = -2 Str & Dex, cannot run or charge). This sounds nice... but, looking thru the 3.0 PHB, it...

Dungeon #99 - Is the end near?

My suggestions: - For the newsstand (non-subscription issues), get rid of the Polyhedron flip side cover. Sell that as ad space. Save the money that would have been spent on the cover artwork. - If posters and counters cost alot of extra money, limit them to every-other month, or even 4 times a...

Dungeon Magazine Poll in Response to Jonny Wilson's statement

I very much like Dungeon #100. This also marks the first issue where I enjoyed the Polyhedron side. The reason being is that it supports the material in Dungeon. I buy Dungeon magazine (and Dragon magazine for that matter) for one purpose and one purpose only... DUNGEONS & DRAGONS material...

    My Critical Miss (Fumbles) Table

I think drawing an immediate Attack of Opportunity is also a good option for a Fumble/Critical Miss.

    My Critical Miss (Fumbles) Table

I was thinking basically the opposite of a critical hit, similar to the above post to a point... Roll a "Natural 1" , roll again to "Confirm" the fumble. If the confirmation roll is a miss, a "Fumble" has occoured, if the confirmation roll is a hit, there is no fumble. In the even of a...

    Bringing back weapon speed!

I think everyone should go check out the "D20" Everquest Players Handbook for what I believe is the Best Weapon Speed rules I've seen. Here's the basics... In normal D&D, a standard fighter with a standard weapon attacks at his normal base attack bonus (plus modifiers). When he gets to Base...

Some new Character creation options - feedback?

I'm working on a new campaign, and I want to tweak the character creation rules a little. Normally, I like the PCs to start off at 1st level. For stats they can roll 3d6 six times and arrange the scores to thier abilities. If they are not satisfied with thier ONE chance of rolling 3d6 x 6...

True Strike + Disarm attempt = Cheese?

Just to clarify, the spellcaster would be using his +20 to one attack roll for the disarm. Say that the spellcaster rolls a 12, the 5th level fighter now needs to beat a 32 (12 roll +20 true strike) on his opposed attack roll to prevent being disarmed?

True Strike + Disarm attempt = Cheese?

First of all is this rules legal? 1st level Spellcaster casts True Strike on himself, next round he takes a 5' step and attacks with his quarterstaff in an attempt to disarm a 5th level fighter with a long sword. Second, is this a "cheesy" combo that goes against the spirit of the True...

Follow-up to FFE's last "900 Words" has been posted

IMO these articles are sour grapes. Would they have written about thier concerns over the current "trend" in gaming reviews if they were getting glowingly positive reviews of thier own products? I doubt it. Fast Foreward's products have been some of the worst I've seen. I was very interested...

I am really unlucky (or Enworld martial artists help me part 2)...

Well, I'm a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu guy myself. But... The most effective striking art in modern Mixed Martial Arts (Ultimate Fighting) is Muay Thai. I know that "Ultimate Fighting" is not "true streetfighting" but is the closest thing we'll ever have to test what works and what doesnt. Over the...
