Toughness, Imp. Toughness

*Toughness [General]
You gain 4 additional Hit Points, and a +5% toughness bonus to your roll to stabalize when dying.

*Improved Toughness [General]
Prereq.: Toughness
You gain +1 hit point per character level (or Hit Die) retroactively. You gain a +10% toughness bonus to your roll to stabalize when dying. This +10% bonus does not stack with the +5% bonus from the toughness feat. [This works just like the Toughness Feat in the computer game Neverwinter Nights, with the exception of the +10% stabalize]

*Endurance:
(In addition to the normal effects of this feat) You can sleep in Light or Medium Armor without being Fatigued the next day (Fatigued= -2 Str & Dex, cannot run or charge).
You gain a +5% endurance bonus to you rolls to stabalize when dying.

My version of the Toughness Feat allows you to add your Base Fort Save +1 to your Hit Points. This bonus rises as your Base Fort Save goes up.

Stacking: Add your Base Fort Save again, and add an additional +1 per time you've takin the Feat.
Twice = (2 x Base Fort Save) + 3 Hit Points
Thrice = (3 x Base Fort Save) + 6 Hit Points
Four Times = (4 x Base Fort Save) + 10 Hit Points

Masters of the Wild has a series of improved versions of Toughness, with prerequisites based on Fort saves. IIRC, it's Dwarf's Toughness for +6 hp at Fort save +5, Giant's Toughness for 9 hp at save +8 and Dragon's Toughness for 12 hp at save +11. That's *base* Fort save, not including stat bonuses and stuff.

Frankly, I just think Toughness should give some basic DR. At low level, this is still really effective (just like the +3 HP), at high levels it's almost worthless. IIRC, there's a Feat that does this in Song & Silence (something like 2/- with some requirement)

For example, you could just make it DR 1/-, but then you're infringing on the Barbarian.

OR, take the Psionic Warrior way of doing it: mimic the Biofeedback line of powers
So, which of the following would you prefer:

Pure DR: let's say DR 2/+1
Universal: Hardness 1 (it works against elemental and magical damage too)
Mixed but boring: DR 1/- and Fort +1
Mixed like psionics: DR 1/- and the first point of Lethal damage taken from each attack is Subdual instead.
