This thread is to post your 2024 D&D encounters you were a bit surprised at the difficulty or ease of. Play by play is not required but important details are encouraged.

Level 3 Party vs CR 6 Wyvern

Party
Zealot Barbarian with Savage Attacker Origin feat and a greataxe.
Ranger (not sure subclass).
Warlock (not sure subclass).
Moon Druid with Tough Origin feat.

Note: We had just leveled between sessions. Neither player applied any combat bonuses from their subclass in the encounter.

TLDR. Wyvern connected on the barbarian 1 time with a tail attack before it died on round 2. After resistance and saves the Barbarian took 17 points of damage. We were lucky in landing attacks with decent damage rolls.

Encounter:
Wyvern had surprise which in 2024 is just advantage on initiative.
