    d(liberation)20 System

You're right...it can get a little complicated for the non-hardcore player. I always keep the option of creating a standard class for any player...plus...there's no way I'm creating 40 orcs with the d(liberation) 20 system. I use standard classes for NPC (except for very special NPCs)...

    d(liberation)20 System

Has anyone seen this classless d20 system? I starting looking at it a couple of days ago and I've got to say that I really like it. I'm looking for people who may have playtested it. I'm also thinking of using this in conjunction with Ken Hood's Skills-n-Feats Martial Arts and Psionics...

    Alt.Toughness feat

THAT'S IT!! Consider it Used In My Campaign (tm). Excellent Idea. Thanks Kap'n K Outergod

    Toughness Variant

So what are you saying? You think that the omission of sink feats causes PrCs to be overpowered? :) Yeah well...I guess I'll just have to live with it. Everyone seems to think it rocks...and the bad guys get the same treatment so, as I said before, it all evens out in the end. Still think...

    Toughness Variant

I don't do either one. Most of my players have been around long enough to have a basic "career path" for their characters so they have to make the decision at char creation for things like, "Do I want to put a 14 in Wis or take Iron Will so I can get PrC X at Yth level?" And, since everyone in...

    Toughness Variant

Pretty much just what I stated in the above post...For example: If a PrC requires Iron Will I will let a PC with a Wisdom bonus of +2 or greater get by without the Iron Will feat. It pretty much balance out if everyone gets to do it (bad guys included). And the players are completely happy...

    Toughness Variant

Yes but it is a shame to make a PC piss away a feat for PrC X when PrC Y might not require one of the less desireable feas. I don't know...the whole logic of sink feats kindof upsets me... but that's what House Rules are for I guess. Outergod

    Toughness Variant

That's a nice idea... I was also toying with something along the lines of: Toughenss: +4 HP and You Con bonus in HP every 5 levels...of course that's not well thought out but you can see where I'm going with it. Along those lines I'm thinking about doing something with Iron Will, Lightning...

Classless d20 rules found! Get 'em while they're hot!

Very nice. I'll get my players to try to abuse this and see if it's broken. First skimming of the document makes me think that this might just rock. Outergod "IncantaTAR BEAOOOTCH!"

    Sean Reynolds rant about terminology

What do you want from the guy who picked up his toys and bailed from the Mythus mailing list a few years back because people kept using "T$R" to refer to the company who destroyed both DnD AND Mythus with their idiocy? He's an a$$clown (IMO) Outergod (IncantaTAR BEAOTCH!)

    Dusk Player's Guide - Impressions

This is an excellent book Michael...I haven't gotten a change to look at it in-depth (just downloaded) but at 1st glance I have to say that I'm impressed. The main thing I looked at ws the section on PrCs - they're well thought-out and very playable. I know the players in my campaign are...

    building a 13th level mage

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: building a 13th level mage WHAA??! Do I know you? Do you know what I play in my current campaign? A level 7 human Wizard...vanilla... I'm already well aware of all the things listed above. I'm NOT creating this character for myself for the love of God! It was a...

    building a 13th level mage

Re: Re: Re: building a 13th level mage I just love to hear people start crying when anyone mentions powerful races/templates. Didn't they create ECL for a reason? And aren't 1/2 Celestials +3 ECL? If you think these are unreasonable do you let characters play with races that are ECL +1? +2...

    building a 13th level mage

Ahhh...sorry...for some reason I thought you were min/maxing. Don't know what the hell I was thinking... You know what though...the Wizard I outlined above would be extremely cool if you were playing in a campaign saturated with heaven vs. hell / celestials vs. infernals/abyssals... Outergod

    building a 13th level mage

I think I'd take: - Human - 1/2 Celestial Template - 1 level of Monk - 1 level of Sorcerer - 8 levels of Wizard (specialist - Necromancer w/ Divination as prohibited...just for fun) Why? 1/2 Celestial for the incredible stat bonuses - I believe the +20 points to stats, energy immunities, and...
