We've never done it, and to the best of my knowledge none of my mates have. I would not stop you, there are lots of fun "garb" things to do. We sometimes dress up and head off the the Ren Fest, and I've got mates that do a bit of LARPing, which is not for me, but more power to 'em, I say. :)
