WOIN can you design a space station?

You can also use the same elements to make a ground base, including starship weapons as turrets. Very dangerous but only shoot once per minute. Once per round in starship combat, but once every 10 rounds in ground combat.

WOIN Starship Weapons in ground Combat

Also, like vehicles and Mechs, reducing it to Half health disables it. Using the Object rules from NEW -Small 70 HP, Medium-150, Large-250, Enormous-450, Gigantic-700, Colossal-1100, Titanic-1500 Enjoy ;)

WOIN Starship Weapons in ground Combat

First off, Starship weapons can only be fired once per round and each round is one minute. Correct? So a ship weapon should only be able to be fired once every 10 rounds when on the ground against non-starships (PCs etc.) Now, taking a starship weapon, get the turret upgrade, dedicated computer...

    WOIN Shields!

Yeah, if you applied the Steal SOAK which is 20, it could be more accurate when it actually hits the shield

    WOIN Shields!

A reason to get better quality shields: The PC or NPC chooses to take the hit from an attack that he knows he can't dodge, drops his weapons and uses both hands to hold his shield and weathers the onslaught. Using the current rules, there is no benefit from doing this. But, I feel that it may...

WOIN Growing out of a Trait

I feel that I would allow the picking up of a trait every 3-4 grades possibly without a cost. I have experienced traits as being underused. If your group loves and uses the trait all the time, there may be no need at all to get a new one. Whatever fits the group I think

WOIN Growing out of a Trait

Thoughts on traits stacking? Being able to keep a trait that you don't grow out of e.g. Dead eye, Disfigured, Lame

WOIN OLD D&D style magic items

And that is also the same for NEW. It's expensive and tough to heal, all of these add to a more hard sci fi setting.

    WOIN WOIN and Roll20

When you create your game in roll20 you can select a huge number of character sheets from loads of systems that aren't normally listed. This includes WOIN. There are tow layouts also to choose from. Some editing needs to be done on them to bring them fully up to date. But they are very much usable.

    WOIN Starship Point Defences

But a fighter squadron has a speed of 10, that's an instant trip to the ships hex. Let's say a 64 squadron attacks a Class XVI Solar Mk II. The squadron has an elite crew 6d6 with a good tactical computer +1d6. With the defence bonus from the PDs, that's 21 defence. The squadron will hit 50%...

    WOIN Starship Point Defences

So my group is about to be ambushed by a fighter squadron. Now, they have a Class III freighter, and 3 Defence lasers, with an Aura of 1. So the defence bonus is Point defence/Ship Class. +3 defence for these poor bois. Defence Bonus understood! Now, when a fighter squadron flies within their...

    WOIN Character Sheet Concept

Looks very nice. I hope to upload my revised Starship record form that I made 1-2 years ago that looks much like what you have

    WOIN Stunning weapons in WOIN

I believe that there is only a few changes needed: 1) The saps damage be reduced to 1d6, like an unarmed attack essentially. 2) The stun baton and electro arc require the target to make an END roll to stay conscious every time it hits. (It's electricity, won't make a difference whether you see...

WOIN Extras or Minions for WOIN

In WOIN starship combat the number of fighters (Let's say 4) has 4 Health and 4 damage. The number of fighters is the damage it does when in the same hex of a ship and looses a number to point defences. All of this happens without any rolls needed. Obviously when a PC has a fighter you can...

WOIN WOIN XP and advancement when grades are not the same across the party

One last point. When one of my players PC dies, their new PC will be 1 Grade less than their original PC. Death = -1 Grade worth This is the same for players joining the group, always 1 Grade less. The only way they can catch up is by pushing themselves to solve more problems and by being...

WOIN WOIN XP and advancement when grades are not the same across the party

Don't forget, this is about rewarding players who take the initiative. If there is a player taking the lead most of the time and solving a lot of the problems and the rest of the party don't mind that and are still enjoying themselves. The XP reward would not work, the gap would only get bigger...

WOIN WOIN XP and advancement when grades are not the same across the party

What you say is 100% true. That's why we have to be picky with groups that we join, groups that have the same attitude to gameplay as we ourselves do and when we don't, it's finding that middle ground. E.g. giving the entire party a set amount of XP for each task and then, rewarding an...

WOIN WOIN XP and advancement when grades are not the same across the party

Your argument is very clear and there are valid reason for giving a single range of XP to the entire party. But going back to your illustration, why would one PC get more XP than another? (resulting in a quicker level up). It is because that character did some exceptional, e.g. solved a puzzle...

    WOIN [WOIN] Grenades!

The first roll is against vital defense, to target that persons square. So you will almost certainly hit even if it lands next to the person, thanks to the burst radius. For the person in cover, you apply the soak of whatever object he is behind. So something wooden like a door/table etc. would...
