How do you organize your D&D computer files?

Most of us find content like maps, new feats, spells and the like but how do you keep it organized? I run and play in multiple campaigns and each campaign has different characters involved, different house rules and the like. Trying to keep my stuff organized is a full time job - especially...

    Dungeon #110

I thought I would never run it either. My party was far beyond the levels needed for that adventure. I can't wait to finalize the details everyone. I'll post in a day or two and inform you all which changes I used and how the story came out.

    Dungeon #110

Wow. So many great ideas. Do you think it might seem odd if I run 5 adventures in a row, each with a town that has a flying bug problem on a nearby bridge? Maybe if I put an adventure between each - to make it suttle of course.

    Dungeon #110

I'm with you on that. My brain "blue screened" while trying to figure out why dragons and bees would get it on.

    Dungeon #110

I'm thinking some of the townsfolk have eggs in them including the mayor's daughter. The mayor wants the party to remove the eggs from the people, especially the daughter (I guess he's bias). My problem is neither PC is highly intelligent (I think the smartest one has an Int of 11) so I doubt...

    Dungeon #110

Interesting. There is no way I would have thought of this on my own. Pondering.....

    Dungeon #110

I like the sertient killer bee swarm idea except killer bees don't produce honey, thus the wine maker wouldn't steel the honey and murder the sheriff. I really do like the idea though, don't get me wrong. I'll use it in my next adventure.

    Dungeon #110

Due to a variety of circumstances, my party size has been reduced to two members, a 10th level half-drow/half-wood elf barbarian2/fighter8 and a 8th level wild elf ranger (TWF style). The cleric and wizard left last week and the rouge was killed off months ago. Needless to say, I cannot...

    Fighting With Spears

What book is the feat Instant Ready in? Or was this an example of a house ruled feat? Thanks in advance.

How would a Troll, Ogre and Ghaele go epic?

I belive you are correct. I know I have read the answer to this question in one of the core books, I belive it was the epic handbook but now with a short epic segment in the 3.5 DMG, it might say there too.

    Helpless characters and Reflex saves

Look what I found in the 3.5 FAQ.... Normally, you have to use a light weapon to benefit from the Weapon Finesse feat. You can also use a rapier or a spiked chain with Weapon Finesse. You cannot use the Power Attack feat with a light weapon. Can you use a spiked chain or a rapier and benefit...

    Suggested Wealth by Level

I found this from another post. I still don't have access to my DMG so I can't verify whether it is correct or not but it does sound correct. DMG, page 135, table 5-1: Character Wealth by Level.

    Suggested Wealth by Level

Doing this from memory btw. Once I get access to my book, I'll put the page # here. Until then... Open the 3.5 DMG and find the "Tables" listing. Middle colum at roughly the center of the page. Something to the effect of "Character wealth by level" Not sure where it would be in the SRD online.

    Helpless characters and Reflex saves

It should be reminded that characters with evasion would not get to take advantage of it since they are helpless. If a 5th level wizard with an Int of 15 casts fireball at a sleeping fighter, rogue, cleric, and sorcerer, the DC is 15. The 5th level rogue (who probably has the best chance to...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Darkness Spell in 3.5

IMCs (I'm in two actually: PC & DM) we run darkness as "darkness", not shadowy illumination. We are in the process of creating a spell that would create shadowy illumination but it is still on the drawing board. Seems a little powerful for a level 1 spell but pails in comparison to the level 2...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Darkness Spell in 3.5

To those DMs that do not allow blindsight to their PCs: Would the ability be more "balanced" if they had to use a move equivalent (like Scent)?

    Gestalt dwarf pali/cleric build

Suggestions for feats and equipment for an 11th level dwarf paladin/cleric? I have 100,000 GP and can't have anything more than 20,000 without the DM's approval. This character will only be played for three sessions or so. Mostly for hack and slash, not RPing. I had the following ideas in...

    Helpless characters and Reflex saves

P.19 of the 3.5 main D&D FAQ (as of 9/24/2004) answers your question If you’re helpless, your Dexterity score is effectively 0. You still can make Reflex saves, but your Dexterity modifier is –5. You’re helpless whenever you are paralyzed, unconscious, or asleep. Also, this is the same info...

    Leadership TWICE?

It's DMs like this that make the game harder than it really is and really take away from the enjoyment of the game. Tis a shame that not every DM can handle PCs with high level powers and abilities.

    Darkvision and hiding

    I stand corrected.
