    d20 modren

Darwin's World: Artifacts of the Ancients included a number of vehicles and weapons, as well as vehicle rules. The main DW book had rules for modern day firearms. There was also a series of 'Cyber Style' sourcebooks available for a near future type setting... they had a firearms and a vehicles...

Problem: want PCs to train, no money.

I don't know if this will work in your situation... On one occasion, I had the local church sponsor training and equipment for the PCs. Naturally, there were a few problems popping up that the church wanted to quash, so it made an easy transition into the next module... Leaghe

[SWRPG] Revised Core Rules: Buy it?

I agree with Wilde Karrde 100%. However, since the changes are supposed to be presented in a free pdf that owners of the original book can download, I think that qualifies as a 'patch' or 'fix'. I just hate sorting through all the changes and marking appropriate areas in my book. Leaghe

[SWRPG] Revised Core Rules: Buy it?

Yessss.... I actually have a copy of 'Marc Miller's Traveller', which is a nicely detailed sci-fi game I've never actually run. Perhaps I should skip SW revised and get Traveller d20 instead. I suspect it would suit my gaming style better anyway. When is Traveller d20 being released? Leaghe

[SWRPG] Revised Core Rules: Buy it?

I have no idea what the rules derived from Episode II will consist of, so I can't say I don't like them. I just... don't care. Personally, I use the Star Wars book for a generic SF setting. More detail on specifically on the SW setting doesn't interest me. Leaghe

[SWRPG] Revised Core Rules: Buy it?

I'll buy it, but I'm not real thrilled about it. They are including enough material from the sourcebooks and new rules that I think its worth buying... but I grind my teeth when I think of buying what is essentially the same game twice. Oh... I could care less about the Episode 2 material. Leaghe

New Polyhedron rocks. Can't compare it with the old Poly, since I never saw a copy. Sorry, Dagger75, you are a very small minority. Leaghe

    OtherWorld Creations to publish Empire

If you read the title of this thread, you know almost everything I do about it. Empire is supposed to be a new sci-fi setting slated to be released by OWC sometime this fall. Surely we can wheeedle some details out of those nice OWC guys, right? Can you give us even a general idea of what we...

D20 Call of Cthulhu! Let's talk!

I'll be getting Call of Cthulhu. If I can actually con someone to into playing with me, I'll run straight up CoC. I think Delta Green was one of the best sourcebooks I've ever seen (for any game), so I'm thinking I'll probably go with CoC modern-day setting. Leaghe

    Gamma World Feedback

Thank You, Erik (wipes a tear from his eye). You are surely assured a place in heaven. Gamma World MUST haves: Cryptic Alliances. Sentient Animals as PCs. Mutations, and lots of them. High Tech as Artifacts. Radiation & Mutagen rules. Other things GW should have, but don't make my top 5, are...

D20 Modern interview - Anthony Valterra

Hmm. I was looking specifically for modern games, not futuristic ones. Darwin's World is a nice d20 futuristic game. But modern games are a little tougher to find. I had forgotten about Malls & Morons (I hang my head in shame), but still - I think you'll agree that Malls and Morons falls into a...

D20 Modern interview - Anthony Valterra

I think there is a real dearth of modern era d20 games out there. Anyone want to correct me and provide me with a list? I particularly like modern settings, but when I call to mind d20 products that feature this, the new Shadowchasers is all that comes to mind. I don't particularly like the...

    bite/claw/claw/wing/wing/tail in 6 seconds??

I shouldn't be revealing this... but hey! Sometimes, without telling the players, I extend the round to seven or eight seconds so the dragon doesn't lose its tail attack. Most times the players never notice I've 'warped time'. If they do comment on it, I lie and say that it is due to the...
