D&D 5E How much for a Wand of Sleep?

My players came across a Wand of Sleep (6 charges). They need the money and would like to sell it. Is there any guideline on how much they might get for this?

    Thanks, I'll take a look!

    D&D 5E Primal Order for 5e?

Just curious. I really enjoyed Wizard of the Coast's 'Primal Order' books waaay back before they owned D&D, and even before M:tG. (I have a particular grudge against M:tG because it's success caused WotC to drop the Primal Order line.) Has anyone updated The Primal Order for 5e? I'd love to...

D&D 5E Give me your strongest characters

The strongest character I ever had was absolutely insane. But he was a Palladium character, not D&D. Saved the character though, just to pull out and gape at from time to time. (I'll say this, as ridiculous as this character was, he still fit the campaign, the other PCs were comparable, and the...

D&D 5E What are your D&D buying habits?

Well, I only buy the D&D Beyond versions. I bought the core books, and then only the occasional campaign or setting as needed or as they catch my interest. More often individual classes, races, or backgrounds. I didn't vote as I don't see a good way to reflect this.

I mentioned Old Gods of Appalachia earlier...here's a 9 minute prologue.

D&D 5E DnDBeyond huge Cyber Monday Sales growth

I picked up the 6 core books for D&D Beyond using that sale and also bought a license for Foundry VTT which was also on sale. Glad to know I contributed...:D I believe if you own the books on D&D Beyond, there's a way to access them in Foundry without having to re-purchase them.

D&D 5E What is up with the popularity of watching other D&D groups play the game?

My games are similar. Combat usually happens if something goes wrong, or if not, it happens when the players have arranged a strong tactical advantage and it goes pretty quickly. It's more exploration, investigation, and roleplay.

D&D 5E What is up with the popularity of watching other D&D groups play the game?

Several reasons. Sometimes I'll watch them to see how a game that I'm not familiar with runs during actual play and to get a feel for the mechanics. Sometimes it's to watch the GM and see how he handles different situations to see if I can learn something. (I've GMed for over 30 years, but I...

D&D 5E Most Humiliating Way To Go

As a player. AD&D (1e). My mage character was taken to zero hit points by a giant ant. The group won the fight and proceeded on their way. That night they asked what watch my character was taking. I just looked at the DM, who said, "He's, um, not there." They finally figured out what had...

D&D General Are you a DM?

Not a straightforward answer. I DMed AD&D back in the early '80s. Since then I've primarily GMed a number of games and groups over the years. I'll be DMing again in the near future for the first time in decades...but I've GMed other games a lot.

D&D 5E Should the Hexblade Patron be Banned?

    I'll just say that I never hear anyone reference 3.0. I hear AD&D, 2nd edition, 3.5, 4, and 5.

D&D 5E How do OAs trigger when an enemy has multiple reaches?

Thanks, that was my assumption, but I wasn't following some of the explanations..

D&D 5E How do OAs trigger when an enemy has multiple reaches?

I'm not sure I'm following correctly. So, if you're within 5' of a dragon and try to withdraw totally...are you saying the dragon gets 3 OAs? Or that he gets to pick any OA?

    D&D 5E Homebrew Classes

DISREGARD: I found it. I can't find how to delete this thread, though... I feel like I'm going crazy. I know I saw a source of nicely formatted homebrew classes and backgrounds...could have sworn I'd downloaded a few...now I can't find them. I also can't find where I found them to try again...

    D&D 5E Shapeshifter question

I actually like the Eberron Shifter race for the 80% who can't totally change form, so I'll probably go with that. I just need to add a total shifting ability for the other 20% and a way to balance it.

    D&D 5E Shapeshifter question

I might take a stab, but I'm new to 5e. What I'm likely to do is come up with something that works knowing how this particular player plays...but I doubt it will be considered "balanced" for general use.

    D&D 5E Shapeshifter question

I was not aware of the Eberron shifters, I'll take a look. I like the race trait as well...certainly something I might be able to use. Thanks.
