D&D General First official D&D game product you owned?

I don't rember if it was either "Dymrak Dread" or the Grey Box. Probably the former.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

To be honest, I hope not. I think the souped-up N-1 fits Din very well, provided he doesn't rely on bounty-hunting anymore.

The Book of Boba Fett (spoilers)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Armorer's Coven is an offspring of the Deathwatch. They're basically Mando-Taliban.

D&D General Large Scale Battles - How do you DM them?

What, you don't leave the overall outcome up to the dice? Madness!

OSR Old School Essentials Box Sets Kickstarter

I'm pretty sure the logistics of reprints and KS are handled by Exalted Funeral now, at least more so than by Gavin Norman. As for your selfish—but very understandable—hope that the writing for Dolmenwood advances steadily, it is shared by me and many many other people.

OSR Old School Essentials Box Sets Kickstarter

The original "Advanced books" KS made 291k out of 20k , so that's a 1455% success. Nothing to scoff at.

D&D General What D&D reflects today, media wise...

I don't mind some stylization in terms of drawing/painting technique, but anything that looks 17th century or (gasp!) later—be it clothing, accessories, or tech—is an immediate turn-off for me.

    Definetly! Something like Hârnworld.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want and not want out of future settings added to 5E?

You want Thundarr? Look no further than "Barbarians of the Ruined Earth". It's THE Thundarr-inspired RPG!

    D&D 5E (2014) The Bible Is A New 5E Setting

I kind of wonder if it'll have all the infanticide, incest, slavery, rape, and genocide that the source material has ... [emoji848]

    Sell Me on OSE

No, I think the subject matter is important enough to be discussed when it comes up. I might be moderate in my approach, and certainly less zealous than younger generations when it comes to taking action (read: I prefer using a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer) but I consider myself on the...

    Sell Me on OSE

If that is so, let me extend my sincere apologies. It was certainly not my intention. All I can say regarding the faction of the Dolmenwood witches is, that they are most certainly not an evil faction. All major factions (7, iirc) considered, the witches are Neutral. They have their own motives...

    Sell Me on OSE

In Gavin's defense, the setting has some (influential!) LGB NPCs, genderfluid entities, the interior and exterior art features lots of female artists, so in general I think he's aware of cultural sensitivities. But over here in Europe the whole discourse is a lot less, shall we say...

    Sell Me on OSE

I wouldn't quite say "prefer" but rather "accept for what they are". The setting is, despite being very whimsy, quite mature and morally ambiguous.

    Sell Me on OSE

Ah yes, I just re-read the faction write-up, I see what you mean. Well, it's something that doesn't really need to come up during gameplay, the witches are still one of the major factions and source of intrigue in Dolmenwood. How and why they get their powers can (more or less easily) be...

    Sell Me on OSE

The power-level and tone is just too dissimilar. To give you an idea of what I would do to adapt it to 5E: Races allowed: humans. New races: Dolmenwood elf, moss dwarf, grimalkin (tabaxi), woodgrue (goblin). Classes allowed: Cleric, Fighter, Wizard, Thief, Bard, Paladin, Ranger. Then I would...
