Another vote for Pal4/BardX and no fighter levels. TWF builds are ok with feats like Two Weapon Pounce or Dual Strike that allow to use several weapons with standard actions, but you don't have many feats to spend. If you ask me, get a bow and a polearm. The Devoted Performer archer with a Bow...

Bad luck. I wouldn't like that PC death either, but there's not much you can do in such a situation. Still, I do like my players to try foolish heroic things. And sometimes they survive against ridiculous odds (like in the story in my sig) and that's something they still talk about years...

Well, I have a similar char in my group with TWF... that hurts. My poor monsters.

Bad feat later... e.g. very bad for feat starved classes.

There are a few nice spells in the Spellcompendium like Stormrage (though I think that's a druid thing) that allow you to fly and make you immune to most ranged weapons...

Don't forget the Comp Warrior feat that allows two Stunning fist attempts per round. Combine with DC raising feats (Ability focus, Ascetic Rogue) and a Wis monk... and you'll do fine.

Hmm. IMX it's not too bad... a puny +4 to confirm threats? The crit specialists are usually that good at hitting that a +4 to the confirmation roll doesn't really matter.

Wow. One of these days when I disagree with the penguin. Shame on me ;) When I play with kids, I let them PLAY. Dicerolls aren't necessary outside of combat as long as they get along and usually they do. The fighterkids usually play the "knight hero in shining plate" and act like a hero. No...
