    Handle Multiple Animals?

Can a single handle animal check in combat command multiple animals? I would guess yes, assuming they're all of the same type. This could actually become a problem, if you didn't want all the animals to do the same trick. Has this been addressed before in a more official manner?

    Delta Green Review

I feel sort of bad for anybody looking to run a Delta Green d20 campaign. I got the Call of Cthulhu d20 book when it came out, but it's going to be pretty hard to pick up nowadays isn't it? I haven't used d20 modern, so I don't know if it'd work as a suitable substitute. Call of Cthulhu has...

    [Ravenloft] Barovian architecture?

I'm warming up for my Expedition to Castle Ravenloft campaign this summer, and I am working on converting all of the tactical maps in the book into Dundjinni maps I can print out. I've come across a peculiar question while doing this. What would buildings in Barovia likely be made of? Would...

    3.5, core classes forbidden

After a session of D&D tonight, I made the foolish mistake of stating how it'd be neat to have a D&D campaign where you can only use the new core classes from the splatbooks (Ninja, Warlock, Samurai, etc.). Everybody else agreed that that'd be very neat and I should have it ready in two weeks...

    Balancing Influx of Clerical Spells?

For my undead D&D campaign (Not featuring undead, it simply continues to rise from the dead every few months at my players' insistence) I plan on picking up the Spell Compendium. The problem with this is the huge amount of new spells any clerics will automatically have access to, while Wizards...

    Heward's Handy Haversacks in Haversacks

I just recently discovered a player in my campaign had been keeping his HHH in another HHH. I immediately told him he couldn't do that any more because he'd suffer total protonic inversion or whatever, but he pointed out that the only mention in the rules involves bags of holding in portable...

    Low-level area effect attacks

A wizard in my D&D ran rampant over hordes of low-level baddies with his web spell. Sure it's not damage, but it effectively removes them from the battle.

    Humanoid Mounts

It never fails, any time a D&D campaign I'm in includes at least one of the little folks (Halflings, Gnomes) they end up using another PC as a mount. I know this has to be a stupidly common enough occurence that rules exist somewhere for it. Anybody have any ideas?

Booting players - What are your nightmare stories?

I caught a player looking at porn on my computer with his hand in his pants. Needless to say, he was thrown out.

    New name for the "half-elf?"

When I run, humans call half-elves half-elves. Elves call them either men or elves, depending on who they most resemble. Half-elves refer to themselves as elves or men, depending on what they view themselves as.

GMs, why are *you* doing the GMing in your group?

A few reasons. I need more practice GMing. I've not had a lot of experience with it, so every bit helps. I'm definitely getting better. I was drafted. Apparently despite my low opinion of my first D&D campaign, the players pressured me into restarting it recently, which left me feeling quite...

    D&D and AD&D - 10 Players?

I've been picking up several old modules for D&D and AD&D with the possibility of running them perhaps with Castles & Crusades. One thing I've noticed, is the large number of PCs many of these modules recommend. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks recommends 10-15 PCs, although it says you can make...

    Recharging Wands

This is a stupid question. Can you recharge wands? I seem to remember that being possible, but can't find it in the rules. In my old age, I fear I've probably intermixed my memory of CRPGs with PnP RPGs. Any comments?

    Random Wilderness Encounters

How do you folks handle random wilderness encounters? While I would usually shy away from random encounters, I use them in the wilderness to discourage endlessly wandering to and from town every time a character loses a hit point or two. According to the RAW, you roll a % chance (usually...

B2 Keep on the Borderlands Contents?

Excellent, thank you all. I also picked up The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan and Dwellers of the Forbidden City for a few bucks, and only Dwellers appears to be missing anything (a map page). I'd just buy the old modules off E-Bay, but the shipping is more than the module goes for. :(

B2 Keep on the Borderlands Contents?

I grabbed me a copy of Keep on the Borderlands for a few bucks at the local used book shop, and was wondering if it was complete or not. I've got the pink cover with the blue map, a 28-page inner section which begins with the title page (heroes fighting an owlbear) and ends with an "additional...

What is the best party level to have a TPK?

I believe that removing the possibility of a TPK in D&D is depriving the players of a game. My players have made it known that they enjoy my style of GMing because I don't pull punches, and they know that they win battles because of skill and planning, not pity. They also know that a TPK is a...

    What does RAW stand for?

I'm glad somebody besides me asked this question and got ridiculed for it, since we both apparently committed the crime of not having been around the boards for a while.

    Houses to rob?

Can anybody point me towards a good resource of houses, preferably stocked with goodies (and guards!) for the rogue in my campaign to rob? He's a thief, and I'm not going to deprive him of what he's good at, but I don't want to have it just be a few die rolls and he's either rich or in jail as a...

    Splatbooks to Beware of?

Thank you all very much for the replies. This is the sort of topic that usually spurs up heated debate, but it's a *good* thing to have debate over, IMHO. I'll definitely be looking into what everybody posted. (fortunately/unfortunately, my PCs have no interest in being a cleric.)
