WOIN EONS #210. Future Gear: Adderley's Apparel

I understand your feelings about that; however, only thought I've got about it is "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Arthur C. Clarke

    WOIN Capping Your Dice Pool

Wait... Is it RAW to spend dice before capping the dice pool? I handle spending dice as "modifiers" that apply after capping the dice pool. Using lost dice as bonus damage would... change everything! Equipment quality would be useful for skilled characters, for example... Which way is the...

WOIN Armor, SOAK and Bio-active upgraded weapons

So... I think you own an old file/book (v1.11 or older, 1.12 doesn't use those clumsy tracks anymore) , but yes, critical hit condition rules didn't change. If you score a crit, you inflict one condition for each damage type on your weapon. There are not that many ways to add / mix damage type...

WOIN Armor, SOAK and Bio-active upgraded weapons

I dont think it should be that compex; the weapon has poison as damage type so it will trigger vulnerabilities and causes an additional condition on critical hits. Additional tests would bloat up fights as it triggers on every hit.

WOIN NEW diseases and linked conditions

That's it! I knew about the v1.1 condition system but never thought about looking there. So it's simply sick/double sick. Thank you very much :)

WOIN NEW diseases and linked conditions

Yes, irradiated environment causes sickness. But which condition are caused from Radiation sickness and Rigelian fever?

WOIN NEW diseases and linked conditions

Hi there, some diseases in NEW use the Word debilitated; there is no such condition or further explanation and I dont think sonething like radiation sickness has no influence besides fluff - as it's described very severe...

WOIN Armor, SOAK and Bio-active upgraded weapons

I think the same way; a poisoned sword shouldn't ignore armor. Thank's a lot :)

WOIN Armor, SOAK and Bio-active upgraded weapons

Hi there, How do I rule bio-active weaponry? RAW say armor SOAK doesn't apply to poison damage. So does bio-active weaponry simply ignore armor SOAK? It seems very cheap for mimicing an once-per-day-carieer-exploit all the time.

    WOIN EONS #214: Drones

Change "scanner" to "sensorics", Credits to Dollars and ray damage to piercing damage. Add rotors if you want some ;-)

    WOIN [Question] Archery and exploits

I bet they're both correct ;-) I didn't look in the books but it's a General exploit in all three of them - so they could be different AND correct.

    WOIN [Question] Archery and exploits

You may use every active exploit only once per turn; so it has great benefit owning both to shoot four arrows. Also, sometimes there are very similar or even exactly same career and universal exploits so non-archer specialists can do some fancy arrow-stuff too, without intention to getroffen...

WOIN Zetan rules for repeated careers

Hi, and thank you for clarifying :) Hi and thank you too :-) I also found it missing alongside with another exploit; instead there has been printed an vouki exploit. My print is ok so far.

WOIN Zetan rules for repeated careers

Hi there, How is the unfocused exploit intended? In german (my first language), "subsequent" can be translated in two ways; did you mean he has to roll WIL if the character takes a career again he took the last time/just before the new career, or if he repeats a career he took ANY time in his life?

WOIN N.O.W Natural Soak and Environmental effects

Blindness due to darkness can be overcome with special senses and equipment (NEW/NOW/ magic items in OLD); immunity by SOAK doesn't do an sense... Following your quote, SOAK 5 only grants immunity vs conditions, damage has to be soaked as usual. So, if a character gets 1d6 fire damage because...

    WOIN Question on WOIN Psionics

Psionic exploits are just another group of universal exploits and may be learned like them - if the character meets its prerequisites. A simple way to get them within character creation is taking them instead of career exploits - if you get skills high enough. Most psionic careers contain...

    WOIN [Question] Same named Exploits?

I agree, but you could combine one of your examples with Curriculum Exploits from Southern Shaolin (which grants hard exploits) AND Curriculum Exploits from Kung Fu (which grants soft and hard exploits). Like morrus said - you should simply allow to get the same Curriculum Exploit multiple...

    WOIN [Question] Same named Exploits?

NEW, pg. 30, top right reads: "Occasionally, an exploit may appear in more than one career; you may still only select it once, even if you choose both careers." I would read that like Drekkin - but according to morrus' reaction, I think he meant "exploits that share the same effect", not...

    WOIN Career prerequisite questions

Within OLD 1.1, druids got an exploit named "elemental druid" or something like that, which included two of the four classic elemental secret (with the option to choose it twice for all four of them); I think with 1.2 it got some re-flavouring that feels right but nobody thought about the...
