LOL! That happened to us, too. We had a party of three (1 rogue, 1 wizard, 1 fighter, all first level). The (inexperienced) DM brings out a barbarian orc with a great axe - two party members hide, but the fighter can't get away fast enough. The orc killed the fighter completely and utterly dead...

I have a subscription still because there are some reoccurring articles that I really just love (Ecology of and Winning Races, even if I never use them, always give me great ideas). Plus, practically every issue I find one article I think will be uninteresting but will end up really surprising...

Yes! I love doing this, and those are beautiful, BTW. One of my characters, a cleric, had a mentor named Father Pingrey Tollman, which was swiped from spam I received. I believe the "real" Mr. Tollman was trying to sell me Viagra. :D
